@@gabrieltaborda8465 bro I have it for like a year and a half and used the screen twice and even that was in the first day when I got the keyboard,my point being its not really important and you won't really use it a lot
But the media keys,they are awesome the scroll and the track skipper key are really good.

I have the for competitive games. I specialize in Overwatch 2 and naraka, and even though it doesnt compare to my customs, the optipoint switches are personally the best optical switches I've tried in terms of feel.
Ok here is a awsome thought. You take out the switches and you trim a little the yellow pin that goes down. Here you are, you have an even bottom keyregister!
I went from an Apex pro (2019) to apex 9 and I actually think the apex 9 is better than the apex pro with omnipoint 1.0s. The switches feels just as responsive but not as sensitive which I prefer. You won't accidently press down a key on the apex nice. It also feels a lot more sturdy than the previous apex pro.

It is faster. The apex pro mini allows you to set actuation real low but this keyboard uses optical switches which have 0 latency and debounce and it goes to 1mm actuation which is a sweet spot so in actuality it is faster and better and feels better

The 9 is awesome, I love all SteelSeries keyboards (and other products like mice and headsets) but I’m not upgrading from my Apex 5 to the 9 (it’s only slightly better and there’s no OLED screen) the only keyboard I would consider upgrading to is either apex pro 2023 or apex pro mini
There is a huuuuuuge difference bro .the switches are the switches optiPoint switches and have an actuation force of 35g instead of 50 from the apex 5 and the latency is a whopping 0.7 ms which makes the keyboard 34,8 times faster than the apex 5. adding the total key travel of the apex 9 is 3.2mm(default out the box) and the apex 5 is 4mm. and the apex 9 keytravel can be reduced to 1mm with the software. So yeah its a lot better.
My Apex 7 TKL is starting to not register keys after 2 years of use, so I see this new 9 after some browsing.
IMO, it's doesn't even seem like an upgrade or sidegrade at all.
No USB pass through, magnetic wristpad, and they removed the OLED screen?

Are the optipoint switches on Apex 9 lighter / less stiff/heavy to bottom down/hold down than the omnipoint 2.0 switches on the apex pro line up???? Thank you

@@fplaziak123 Just depends on your preference really. I prefer to have a function row so always go for TKL's.
May I suggest one more review check when you're covering keyboards? You should remove the larger keys such as CAPSCLOCK, CTRL, SHIFT, BACKSPACE, SPACEBAR and ENTER to show viewers whether these keys have 3-point support bars. I've tried numerous keyboards from gaming manufacturers and they seem to skip engineering quality on these keys and the plastic stems of larger keys with no support bars tend to become loose and eventually break. Can you confirm whether these keyboards have support bars for the larger keys?
This keyboard is compatible with gateron ks-22 optical switches. The one you have that didn’t work are the old ks-15 switches
Can confirm. The Gateron Optical V2 switches work and they are miles cheaper than the one Steelseries is selling

All I buy is Steelseries, essential if you speed type.
the problem is about this removable optic switches. they selling it on their web site but i am living in turkey and they are not shiping this switches to turkey . i dont know about how i can get them on my country i really like the keyboards specially apex 9 mini i really wanna but it but if someting goes wrong about those switches i cant buy the switches because they not shiping to turkey

It's because the black housing absorbs too much light so it won't register properly.

Aftermarket switchers do not work because the bottom of the switch needs to be WHITE. Normal gateron optical switch are black. I read this on the FAQ page on the steelseries official site.

@@n0spam911 Gateron V2 Opticals work, the black part is bullsh*t, it's about how far down the stem goes. I'm using Gateron Optical Blues (V2 version) and they work perfectly fine.
bro u got scammed with your stabilisers i got LUBED stabs and an ABOVE AVERAGE spacebar with the absolute smoothest bottom out and typing experience. Still, the price is insane for a normal keyboard but when you think about the gaming benefits its incredible.

U know what’s upsetting that ppl think omnipoints are better. No one on the face of the earth presses their switches 0.2-0.4mm down. Not physically possible. So apex pro is cashgrab. Have a great day.

It's not about being able to only pressing 0.2mm down, it's about pressing 0.x faster than 1.x. It's not physically possible to be slower at pressing down 0.x than 1.x.
