One of those rare op/ed where the music and the video are in perfect harmony...where they both tell the same story just through a different medium. Those kind are the ones that are impossible to skip even if you try. I also love how this music is so...unexpected and different. It would steal the spotlight on a dance floor of many other great ones.
Yeah gives me vibes of 80s anime where they had the smooth jazz rock intros. Or something like Dirty Pair or something from that Era. Kinda refreshing actually.
I was already sold on the series with the first ep but then this Op dropped with its charming retro feel and a MFing BLACK HOLE IN IT! There is no way I won’t see this one through after that.
The artistic depiction of the Schwarzschild radius is always a cool thing to put into a sci-fi work. lol But yeah, I love the music and atmosphere of the anime so far! It brings me back to days of Bubblegum Crisis, Akira, Macross Plus, and all the other cyberpunk anime of the 80s-90s inspired by Blade Runner.
At 1:07, he's reading "On Another's Sorrow" by WIlliam Blake. It's an interesting poem, and it's even more interesting that they decided to put it in the opening. I'm eager to see if it becomes relevant to the story or his character.
i heard this playing in a shop in japan and thought it was from 1990 and fell in love with it's usage of rhythm nation style new jack swing, only to discover its a contemporary song, which i love. also had no idea it was an opening song, so just on the merits of this song i'm gonna check out the anime.
If they fleshed out the content and replaced the fever dream like pacing in the anime with a more balanced and drawn out season then I honestly believe that this would a strong contender for anime of the year. The sfx, the animation is amazing. The voice acting too. Also Naomi is a such a baddie
if this show can keep up the brutal depths of the Raw Concept the first 2 episodes have been layered with while Naomi and Rouge wander and dork out, it will easily be the best anime of the season
@@F14thunderhawk Kinda have to wonder what DID happen to the Visitors since they specifically mentioned at least 2 alien races from outside our galaxy, the Visitors being the 1st, the Usurpers who are the baddie comics aliens being the 2nd
only if its 2 cour. theres already a ton of groundwork for worldbuilding and a few dialogued expositions wont cut it. i couldnt find anything about how many episodes its gonna have tho
i think its becasue its sound like real music. it has something from the 90´s where they started mixing insturments with synths and then some real dope like Beat It or Triller came out...or the other 99%.
"Now this is a story all about how my Nean got flipped, turned upside down, now I'd like to take a minute just sit right there, I'll tell you how Rouge became a princess of a planet called Mars."
I'm just hearing this music now and, I know this might sound crazy, but my first thought is that it kinda reminds me of the opening theme from "Hey Arnold!" lol Regardless, I love this funky tune and might check out this anime just for that reason alone! 😄
This music feels like a callback to the golden age of cyberpunk fiction, which is appropriate because we're heading for a second one for the wrong reasons.
Yeah it felt like it was trying to juggle around 3-4 seasons worth of story content into 13 episodes by the end it ended up feeling like everything was crammed in lacking the proper emotional impact or buildup Way too many charecters were introduced back to back without much elaboration and the viewer is supposed to just understand what they're trying to convey without actually putting in the effort. Several plot twist just felt horrible because of how random they were, like the twist of Rouge's brother's real father being one of the immortal nine, and the twist about Naomi how is one supposed to resonate with these story points if the show doesn't bother to give hints/foreshadowing and just drops them one after the other.
@@ishashifar the lack of emotional buildup or connection between the characters was one of the worst parts of this show. The opening made it seem like the two main characters were gonna have a very strong friendship, a ride or die kind of relationship, two people going through a lot together and ending up with an unbreakable bond. But in the end they barely seem like friends. They're colleagues if anything, but it still feels like the writers want you to think they're close. The secondary characters are even worse. They just show up and do what the plot needs them to. No time to get attached to them or care. Plus the weird time jumps between episodes makes it super hard to follow the plot and understand what exactly is going on, especially in the last few episodes. Sometimes I thought I missed an episode cause it genuinely feels like parts of the story were just cut out and then later briefly mentioned through clumsy exposition. Definitely feels like multiple seasons crammed into one. Just a disappointing mess with one of the best openings I've seen in years.
Watch Metallic Rouge here! got.cr/cc-mrop
I wonder if there will be a season 2 of Metallic Rouge.
The closest thing to Saturday morning cartoon nostalgia as I’ve found in anime yet

Totally agree with you!
This song has a cool early 90s new jack swing feel to it. ❤
It reminds me of 80's RnB.
Specifically late ‘80s to early ‘90s right?
@@WimpyKelv12 yup.
New Jack Swing

Ngl I got into the series cuz of that clean af black hole shot and now I'm hooked to it😍
It's even crazier when you then discover that it's a black hole amongst other black holes with a singular purpose. I was like 🤯 ngl
I'm gonna say this before more people discover this anime.
God more people need to discover this anime.
I was here
Fr people sleeping on this
No thanks
Probably one of my favorite anime openings now… anyway yea more people need to watch this
Esa música ya me atrapó, cuántos capítulos estrenados tiene? Lo quiero ver xd

Fellow poetry lover here, I too am interested in this detail!!!!!
Also, it’s a Parrot (Penguin) book.

I'm loving the 80s/90s theme!

So good can't skip this bop. This show killed it borrowing the right things from classics we enjoy and doing its own thing
This opening is a straight bop. I think I'm going to enjoy watching Metallic Rouge even more because of this.
Never expected a show like this to have a new jack swing vibe 😭
Catchiest OP I've heard in years.
Got so obsessed with this I had to set the whole song as my alarm to wake up happy…. And I don’t stand up from bed if the song’s not finished. 😌
I only discovered this anime today lol
And it passed my 3 episode rule, so I think it's pretty good. I also really like Rouge and Naomi already
I'm in love already.

0:39 - 1:07 This part is my favorite, Epic!
She unlocked her Devil Trigger.
Interesting. It's almost like part Ghost in the Shell: SAC, mixed with Accel World, with a touch of Outlaw Star.
I'm wondering if they released a D.V.D for Metallic Rouge . I tried searching it online , yet I can't find anything.
I'm in love with this opening i swear😅
Banging OP, this show has a seriously good music!
This song is such a vibe
Love these openings🔥🔥🔥🔥
This show deserves so much more love and attention than it's getting.
90's aaaah beat
reminds me of Sonic CD's Tidal Tempest zone 😆
love the style!
Love 80’s style hip hop of this song
Can't wait for this show to be huge!
i love the mix&mastering! props to the sound guys
Warframe+Cyberpunk+Anime=Metallic Rouge
I can definitely see this anime being a cult classic if done right
This show went in one ear and out the other tbh but I liked the designs and music

This song is so cool!! 🔥
Жаль шоу погубил формат. 13 серий очень мало для амбиций сериала
This song is quite nostalgic

Very good opening
We need more human sized mech suits
I'm def enjoying this so far!

"Now this is a story all about how my Nean got flipped, turned upside down, now I'd like to take a minute just sit right there, I'll tell you how Rouge became a princess of a planet called Mars."

El mejor tema de opening de la temporada
Is that new jack swing in this, the year of our lord Twenty Twenty Four?
W opening W ending W series
Awesome OP
Awesome Metallic Rouge Opening Rouge Video.
Obrigado Cunchyroll❤❤❤❤❤
From how underviewed the songs are and that most people dont even know of it, this is probably the most slept on show of the season.
it was perfect
Di Di du di du..
Feelin some Straight Up vibes with this one.
I'm confident this will be #1 opening for next year. Such a vibe👍 the writing for this series is another story...
Already cleared by Mashle s2 and Boku no kokoro s2 openings
@Cyberk_ They are good. My initial comment is bias as I was born in '91 and the Metallic Rouge OP captures that vibe so it really hits home for me.
Perfeicao esse snime❤
My only roooooomba

Why didn’t Metal Rouge’s wings appear in the final episode😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢???????
The main tan chick is sublime
Buenisimo el opening
That's literally Jazz Jackrabbit song
This sonic the hedgehog stage brought to you by....
Issei's Boosted Dragon Suit.
Sound like new jack swing. I like it.
Just like the Matrix. I like it
I wonder if a lot of fans will misspell the opening song's name
this anime looks so cool! the only thing is... when reading the description of it in the desc. of this vid.. I... don't really understand it? 😅
Anyone knows if this on Spotify yet ?

I heard a little Janet Jackson in this song. Nice
Reminds me of Blood on The Dance Floor by Michael Jackson
Why was this recommended from 49 secs ago.
Tokusatsu in anime form. XD
i don't know why but the artstyle reminds me of the tales series.
Such a cool show even tho the story was kinda poopy
This music feels like a callback to the golden age of cyberpunk fiction, which is appropriate because we're heading for a second one for the wrong reasons.
Sounds like Blood in The Dance Floor of The Michael Jackson
KAWAII WAIFU PRINCESSE 💕😘😈😍🔥💋🎌
Hello Eves
Bublegum crisis vibes
This anime is the definition of wasted potential. Started strong with an interesting premise but turned into a confusing mess.
Wonder Egg Priority all over again

It's alright for me, but not bad. Maybe, it will grow on me
Why Japan has this animated stereotype of giving black females white hair? Is ridiculous lol
