The art style screamed FF Legend 3 to me too.
This game is already in sale on the Japanese Eshop for only 199 yens (2$). Same deal will probably happen on other region of the eshop after the launch (Red Deer game always hugely put their game in sale just after the launch date ahah). I played it on PC last year and I really like it. :)
Absolutely loved this game! Played it on steam, will be getting it for switch to relive all the nostalgia it gave me
I saw this was coming to Switch a few days ago and thinking I might get it, but I check the eshop today and it's 86% off($1.99) so I bought it right away.

JRPGs have been dead and soulless to me for a long time, but I love your enthusiasm for them. You even make me wanna try a few contemporary ones.

Maybe we can go from this to people making some wacky Metal Max inspired games too. The newer ones just lost the charm that the originals had. Even Metal Saga for that matter. Post-apoc wasteland with tanks? Count me in. This looks neat though, has a SaGa vibe to it. I'll probably give it a quick check.
I know games on Switch always cost a bit more than on Steam but wow! This is 20$CAD on Switch and only 11$CAD on Steam... for such a short game I can't see myself paying almost double for playing it on Switch even if playing it handheld would match the style of game so much better... problem is games I buy on Steam end up on my list of 200+ games that I never played lol it's just easier to grab the Switch than to go to my room and open the computer etc...

RDG is weird. It publishes small neat games like this, and various versions of AAA clock.

Ignore the publisher, the developer Retreaux Games made another nice game Pillars of Dust.
Reddeergames has more than 200 games in the eShop, they don´t care much about quality control. Some games are nice.

The game so far seems to lack the ability to grab me. The dialog of the characters are weird. They talk like they have scattered brain and they way to story unfolds feels too direct. There's no story explained to you in the beginning. It feels like your just happen to stumble upon a story that's already going on and you have to catch up as you go on. Id give it 5/10 honestly. But still interesting to play through and see how it goes further on
I was way more forgiving back then for the visuals, frame rate, the cancer one color look... Then I'm now. This looks terrible sorry, while 2D-HD looks amazing combining modern with retro having the retro style but modernized this just looks bad. Sure if this released back in the 90s on a GameBoy I would have played it but now? Uhhhh...
Still haven't played Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass Dave.
This game is a masterpiece. I would easily buy it a second time if it was on the Switch. :)
