He definitely brought a lot of excitement and love to the world and was a big help in putting his country on the world musical map.. Thanks for the good times Stevie.

Without passing judgements, there may be a whole list of circumstances, but I think it was sad that from the Easybeats, only Snowy made it to the service.

I have to agree with you that it was shameful that George young and Harry VANDA AND Dick Diamond didn't have the curtisie to attend the Funeral service of their Friend and Band mate. Stevie wright. 😢😢😢
Even if they didn't have a good relationship through the years ...
They still should have been to show some respect for him😢😢😢😢 that was very bad Manners on their part.
I believe that Stevie would have been to theirs. ❤❤❤
Put your feelings aside and show some respect.😢😢😢
He was your friend at one time❤❤❤

I'm reading a book at the moment on George Young from Vanda and Young the older brother of Malcolm & Angus Young of AC/DC and it mentions Stevie a lot, about his troubled life etc.
I remember seeing him at the Vauxhall Inn at Parramatta in the late 80's and although he'd been through all that stuff he still rocked the house down.
I remember playing pool at one stage but at the end of every song the whole pub would stop what ever they were doing (pool players as well) and give him a loud applause, he was fantastic even at that later stage in his career.
I'll never forget that night, it was the first time I actually thought watching a band at a pub, gee he's bloody good!
If I only knew what I do now I would have sat down and watched the whole set. But unfortunately sometimes life robs you of certain moments when you should stand and take it all in.
Rest in Peace Stevie and sorry for playing pool while you sang you guts out, what a fool I was but I did clap at the end of every song!
Thank You for your talent and god bless you my friend, what a legend!

I know what you are talking about .
I did the same thing with Elvis Presley when he was performing at the Hilton hotel in Las Vegas NV.
Lived two blocks away from there in 1975 .
I never went to any of his concerts.😢😢😢
Away thought that I could go to the next one 😢😢😢.
Never thought that he could die so young 😢😢😢
      I'm kicking myself now 😢😢😢
If you have the opportunity to see some one , don't hesitate go,
You never know if it is your last chance 😢😢
I'm sorry I didn't go to see him perform when I had the chance 😢😢😢😢

Bon Scott got his whole act from Stevie Wright... every move and gesture... the voice.. the cheeky grin... the taste for the good life... the lot!
Rest in Paradise, Stevie! May every day in the Great Big Gig in the Sky be a Friday for you!

Although described by Paul Clarke in this clip as "the best frontman Australia had ever seen" (0:33), Stevie Wright was, of course, actually born in Leeds, England. There is no doubt that the Australian music scene of the 1960s was heavily influenced and inspired by both American and British rock and roll music. Without Stevie Wright and the Easybeats, Australian rock music would not have been brought to a worldwide audience.👍

For all you normie brainwashed corporate citizen out there.. Stevie at one stage was bigger than the Beetles... He was easily one of the Greatest Front Men in a music industry that was corrupt.... Sadly, Sadly extremely missed!

    • @OldiesMomma
      @OldiesMomma ปีที่แล้ว +1

I agree with you. And it is still very corrupted and will never change as long as there is money involved. . They should have gotten brain Epstein or the bee gees manager to replace the people that they had repsenting them. They would have been brought to the USA and found the following they deserved. They were just as good as the beatles or stones or any other groups of that time including the ones from the USA.

Why didn't George young and harry Vanda show up at stevie funeral service. It's sad that they could not be there for him. I hope that they were in good health at the time.😢😢😢😢❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉

I found the song all gone boys..it pretty much tells you the story of the life of rock of the rock star s today doesn't it.. rich to young to much fame alot fans running after you willing to do anything to get your attention.then just as fast everything is gone and you are at at a lose . and you miss it and go looking for the next thing that gives you that , that is gone. I think it happend when they told him that his music was to soft and not good enough for the UK. I don't know why their music was as good as any of the other bands that came out at that time.. the beatles or stones was not any better they just found better managers.❤❤❤🎉🎉

Pop stars get a lot of flack for their drug use lifestyles etc, but look ,they are born with a gift to entertain and they use use to good use i their life .Where would we be without them.
