    when you brought the pdf in it autotraced it to be a svg (hence why you had nodes) then you convert it to a bitmap to then trace it again to svg.
    once you had brought it in and got rid of the bits you did not want, select everything and combine them into one (path>combine) then you can, with it all selected, just go path>stroke to path to get the paths around both sides of the lines instead of the middle.

      I will have to try that. Have another dosing to do soon. Might have to update the video too as I am sure inscape has newer version out now.

    When I try to ungroup things, i get getting more and more objects not less... I am trying to convert a technical drawing to an svg for CAD. Thanks in advance.

    Is there a way to get a plan side and front elevation to all the same scale ie from different pdf pages?

    I didnt see how you changed the center line and turned on the double but wish I did

      around 7:00 ish mark the "trace with edge detection" is what actually does the double line, then you can paste it into a cad program and cut the surface lower to create the edges for the CAM to follow.
