I think a great way to improve at specific fundamental mechanics is to go into red vs blue creative or whatever creative map to get fights in and specifically limit yourself to learning and utilizing that mechanic. Trying to learn close range fighting without aiming down sights? Grab a wrapon and only fight while not aiming. Trying to learn weapon swapping? Take fights and force yourself to weapon swap between pump and spray

I am back, because of your other videos i was able to get my first win and after this video i was able to get my first crown win(B2B Win). Thank you so much for your help!
I know I’m late and you probably won’t see this (I’ll comment it in the next vid) but I absolutely love the showcase of your deaths and mistakes, helps me learn a lot. Thought it’d be awesome to see more of this but take you time, your vids have made my gameplay go from like gold 3 to diamond 3 to champ.
I started playing a year ago ch4S1, and I haven’t played shooters since the original Unreal series on PC (yeah, I’m 47). But I love this game and play every night for about 3 hours. Using a controller setup was a totally new thing for me and at first I thought I’d never get it, but I’m relieved to say you can develop better muscle memory even at my age. Your videos have helped so much, but not with my aim - I have to learn that myself. But tactically speaking your advice on right shoulder peek, shockwave and mobility, using creative, is great. I’m currently working on learning how to shockwave sideways through cover to get behind the player - that is genius. Since they launched ZB ranked I’ve got (very slowly) to Platinum 1, and I’m really happy with that. But close range fighting is so quick and one small error just destroys you. Learning the basics and not getting lazy is an absolute must. I’m nervous about season5 - if they make all the changes they’re talking about I’m not sure I’ll enjoy it as much. I never play build as it’s just too much too fast to try and learn how to build at the speed you guys do!
Great video! Your tips have been so helpful. The tip that has helped me the most is getting in more fights. I never thought I would kill kado let alone land at ecclipse in solos but I just went for it and finally got to him and beat him.
I don't know if I play too little. It is not that I only play one hour a week. But sometimes, I only play one hour a day. I don't know what is a good amount of matches to have in a day. I would love to play 4 hours a day. I don't think that is too much time. I don't think 4 hours a day is too much time playing Fork Knife. Otherwise, there is a lot of other mistakes I make as well. Like chasing too much and opting into 50/50 too much. I also tend to get tilted and hate myself for making mistakes. That is something I need to work on.
Speaking of this topic, this is how I ended up quitting Fortnite: I personally had a HYPERACTIVE period this summer (aka last season), I was playing pretty much all day long. Even during that, I saw the issues. In the first 2 hours of the (pointless at this point) daily session, it was fine, getting like average 2 crown wins a day (got to 102 crowns at the 50-day mark) and stuff like that, but playing further the same day was pretty much pointless and had no result at all. After taking a 5 day vacation (on August 8-13), I jumped right back in,, only to feel terrible and playing just out of addiction 😞 Season 4 came out and I felt a bit refreshed. In fact, I even got 46 crowns, until September 17th when I didn't have as much time to play. I was playing less and less, until September 24th, when I ended up taking the hit and entirely ABANDONING MY PC due to it consuming all of my time. Plus, by October, my cravings to play Fortnite had fully stopped, and I haven't logged on since. In short, don't be too active, doing so can ruin your experience. I see myself coming back if it ever comes to my mind in the future, who knows? In about a year? Also, why does it seem to me that I quit right when all the content dropped?
I played fortnite chapter 1 season 2-4, took a break till season 8 where i played only that season. Then i came back which ever season they released the deadpool skin for and played till i got that skin and quit which took like no time at all. Then i just started playing again chapter 4 season 3 at the end of the season because my buddy talked me into downloading the game. At the end of the day i just see gaming as a hobby, playing with my friends and goofing off after a long day of work is just what i wanna do sometimes.

My biggest problem is over chasing too. Wasting a stack of shockwaves to go after someone only to be 3rd partied with no way of getting out again. And taking too many 50/50 fights. I can beat most players in those situations but only have to miss one pump shot or come around a tree the wrong way and it’s back to the lobby.
I found a game called “the pit” which also has a “the pit zero build”. You get to pick your loadout from most vaulted guns/equipment and just play ffa against 8-12 people. I’m getting 50+ engagements in a half hour and if I were to play regular BR that could take me hours. Super fun too and has a solid public player base!!!

One thing that's been making me insane lately, really ruining the quality of my games, is I feel like I'm running all around the map all day long and never seeing anybody.
