The best place I have camped is on our very first 4wd trip to the VIC High Country Easter 2023 when we camped at Lovicks Hut and woke up to snow Easter Sunday morning, sleeping in our rooftop tent. Great episode, going to have to download that new ebook it looks great 😊
Best free camps were as part of a 5 car tag along in Namibia. Finished touring the Okavango then 4 days going south through the Namib desert. 4 days and saw one other vehicle, only locals were the desert animals. Mob of zebra shuffled around our tent one night on creek bed. Geological formations on the cliff faces were amazing as were the stars at night. Love your vids, very envious. Cheers Bill
Just love Wiliam Creek Hotel . So iconic . We did the mail run from Cooper Pedy in an Okker delivering mail to 5 stations including Anna Creek Station out to William Creek for lunch and onto Oodnadatta for dinner also stopping at Algebuckina Bridge before arriving back at Cooper Pedy at 11pm . There were fish that looked like mullet in the waters under the bridge and on the road . Loving your journey , bringing back many good memories . Katies pronunciation of Algebuckina sounded right . Best free camp ……Gregory River Qld .
Hi guys, loved Jasper singing 🥰 the best place we stayed free camping over our 3 years full time was actually on the Oodnadatta track at the Beresford Ruins, it was only us, we stayed 4 nights , had a camp fire , ozpig for cooking , 2 hammocks to relax ( with fly screen) , galahs , amazing sunsets , the only draw back as you find out too , the flies were by millions as soon as daylight and wonder were they all disappeared at sunset. But what an experience. Keep on travelling and thank you for sharing . Cheers 🥂
Loved this episode guys! Our best free camp would have to be the RAAF Boab Quarry, King Leopold Ranges, approx 45 klms west of Fitzroy Crossing and 12 klms dirt track to the camp… Plenty of fresh water for swimming, kayaking, no crocs, secret caves, & the locals are happy for us to stay!
Oh wow! What magnificent scenery! It looks really dry up there at that campground, such a contrast to other parts of the state. But how amazing is South Australia?! All the variety is so brilliant! Wow, $3 for fuel?! I really can't complain about $1.99 😂 Good idea for a cricket game, Jasper! Hope you all have safe travels!❤ Blessings, Jasmine
Great vid guys..My best free camp would have to be at Betoota across from the Hotel ,most friendly host you could come across..The sunsets and night stars are something else..loved it so much went back a second time.
Adding the trip out to Halligan Bay/Lake Eyre. Just spectacular! Favourite free camp, coming in to Longreach from the south on the Thomson Developmental Road, is the Swan Vale Scenic Lookout, perched on the escarpment looking west over the plains, you'll be treated to a magnificent vista at sunset.
Boy! That landscape you're travelling through at present is another dimension. Certainly an eye opener. Frewena Rest Area on the Barkly Highway is a great place to camp for an overnighter. Bird life is awesome and littered with bits of old machinery and vehicle parts. Unsure where these bits and pieces of relics fit in with history. Travel safe.
What a wonderful trip you guys look like you’re having. My best free camp was on the shores of the snowy river in a state park in Vic. We stayed there for a week between Christmas and New Year about 18 years ago. Mostly we were by ourselves. It was very hot so we just parked our chairs in the river every day which was shallow and crystal clear. We heated up those solar shower bags for a hot showers in the evenings and cooked everything over the campfire. So much better than a 5 star resort. I think about that place often and intend going back soon.
Hi Guys, another great episode. Our favourite free camp so far would have to be Mary Kathleen in Qld. So peaceful and quiet at night with so much history to explore between the town and the mine. Waking up to cows outside the door in the morning was the best too!!
Yes! The Milky Way was incredible!!! Zero light pollution 😊💙 haha!! C’mon we did the Cape last year 😅…. Wait till you see Katie tackle the Mereenie Loop in a few weeks 😳
Love your show the best place to stay was on the Madigan line so peaceful and quiet never seen a person the whole time other than our group. All the best Dennis
Hi guys, you have a great channel that my wife and I have just discovered. We’ve been binge watching from three years ago when you did the motor home episode. We’ve also been exploring Australia for a long time and in a lot of different set ups including central Australia in a tent, then we upgraded to a camper trailer and then we’ve been through three caravans and now finally a motor home. It’s actually the same motor home that you tried, a Winnebago/ Iveco and we love it. We’ll be watching your channel every week because we’ve subbed and your production is very professional. Cheers, Stuart & Leanne. Canberra.
Wow!! You must have some amazing travel stories 🙌 thank you guys for joining our community- we just love Australia and it still blows us away every day 💙🇦🇺 safe travels and hopefully we cross paths along the way 😊Katie, Paul & Jasper
@@TheFeelGoodFamily We try not to bore other people about our travels unless they ask. I’m not fond of those “those been there, done that” types. Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with comparing notes but you know what I mean. Anyway, if we see you on the road we’ll be sure to say Hi. We’re heading north soon to get out of winter, at least that’s the plan 😂😂. Cheers, Stuart and Leanne. Canberra.
Great video guys!!!! 😊 On our year long lap last year, our favourite free camp was Mary Kathleen Town in Queensland. Beautiful starry nights, toasting marshmallows on a warm fire with cows mooing around us!! So good!!!
Love the content the Feel Goods put up each week. Loved the bridge that you camped at. Recently stayed at the Nidigully Pub. That was amazing with the old pub and great food too,
Loving all your series ! We have just done a small amount of the flinders and will be heading back n beyond very soon ! Thankyou for all your info and sharing your travels 🎉
What a great episode! Loving all your Oodnadatta content so far 🤗 We’re just starting out but our fav free camp so far has been Green Hill Lake Reserve in Vic, we’ve started there twice and it’s a massive place but even on Easter we were able to find a nice secluded area with absolute waterfront views.
Hi, have sent Paul a message with the details of “Arkaringa Station”, not free but very cheap. Also Painted Desert is well worth the detour. Thanks form another top quality vid. Bringing back so many memories of our trip
Hi Adrian, thank you for this and we did detour and stayed at Arkaringa and loved it 💙🙌 I think it’ll feature in this upcoming episode too 🏕️ safe travels and cheers 🍻
❤❤❤❤❤ your vids. Our best free camp to date (will find more for sure in the future) is Clem Walton (60klm before Mt Isa) opposite Mary Cathrine which you have show cased - thank you for all you do
Love your videos, thanks for making them. I will be on this road in a few weeks. Can I ask how long ago you filmed this episode? My favourite free camp is the Wonnangatta Valley in the Victorian high country. Not so easy to get to (and certainly no caravans) but a spectacular place with a rich history.
Re the bowser at William Creek - even though it stopped at $145.00 and you preauthorised $150.00 check your credit card statement and you will see that you have only been charged for the $145.00.

Wow!! The simple and the beautiful - love it!! We are so blessed here in Aus 🙌🇦🇺💙
Our favourite camp along the Oodnadatta is the bridge 🥰 our boys spent hours on the causeway catching and releasing little spangle fish.
The best memories and we just loved it there! Oodnadatta Roadhouse next for an unbelievable chance meeting!! 🙌🇦🇺🍻

We love it there too!! The cows were playing ‘piggy back’ as we explained to Jasper when we were last there 😅🙌💙 thank you guys and safe travels
I love the estetics of that bridge! Beautiful. Great job, Feel Good Family! Another great episode.
Those sights are amazing out there. Can you see the milky 🌌 way?? About time you truely got off road with your rig
Yes! The Milky Way was incredible!!! Zero light pollution 😊💙 haha!! C’mon we did the Cape last year 😅…. Wait till you see Katie tackle the Mereenie Loop in a few weeks 😳

The best place on the Oodnadatta Track is Anna Creek SA there's Bronco panelling and it was amazing with a big dam there also. 👌🏽☺️
It’s on our list now thank you for the tip 🙌💙
@TheFeelGoodFamily you are most welcome and the sunset and sunrises are magnificent 👌🏽
Great video guys!!!! 😊 On our year long lap last year, our favourite free camp was Mary Kathleen Town in Queensland. Beautiful starry nights, toasting marshmallows on a warm fire with cows mooing around us!! So good!!!
Still in Katie’s top 3 favourite free camp 🏕️ we spent a week with the cows, stars and campfires and can’t wait to revisit 🇦🇺💙
Yep same here! Planning to visit again in July!
Safe travels and enjoy every minute 😊
You too 🥰
Our most memorable free camp would be Manangatang in 40c+ heat! Our family have never forgotten it and it was certainly an experience to remember!
Whoa!! That’s hot 😅 we had to look it up to see where it was - safe travels guys
Love the content the Feel Goods put up each week. Loved the bridge that you camped at.
Recently stayed at the Nidigully Pub. That was amazing with the old pub and great food too,
Thank you very much 🙌😊 Nindigully Pub is one of our favourites and they let you swag in the verandah for free too 🇦🇺💙
Amazing, can't wait to get out there. Best free camp was along the Canning Stock Route. So remote, quiet & grounding. 🥰
Remote, quite and grounding! The BEST!! 💙🇦🇺🙏
Amazing. I had no idea Lake Eyre was so big. Thanks team. 😊
It’s so huge! Loved how beautiful the endless white was 💙
Our best free camp was at gunbower creek, did have a long drop toilet, but camped on the creek and loved it.
We will have to check that one out! Thanks for the tip 🙌🍻

Thank you 🙏 only 2 weeks ago 🙌 we’ll have to check out Wonnangatta Valley…. sounds amazing and maybe a couple of nights out of the van
@@TheFeelGoodFamily If you do get around to it the easiest way in is via Licola and the Zeka Spur track. Allow 4 to 5 hours from Licola.
One of my favourite SA campsites is Algebuckina Bridge. Pronounced Alj-a-buckna 🤟🤟
Love it! Thank you 😊
Been lucky enough to have been across the bridge six times on The Ghan (pronounced Gan.).
Oh WOW!! great memories 🙌
Great episode as usual. My lovely wife is asking what brand of hat do you wear. Sorry to bother. Safe travels guys.
Thank you 😊 Katie’s hat is Kooringal Australia 🇦🇺🙌
our best free camp is in the Mallee at Dingo Rest (Woolpunda, SA)❤
We’ll add that to our ever growing list 😅🙌💙
Great video. What is the make of the canopy on the land cruiser and are you happy with it.
Thank you 😊 it’s MODE 4x4 - has a starting weight (empty) 220kg!! Love it 👍👍
Re the bowser at William Creek - even though it stopped at $145.00 and you preauthorised $150.00 check your credit card statement and you will see that you have only been charged for the $145.00.
Fantastic! I’ll double check that now but that’s what Katie said would happen 🙌😅
I think they transferred the materials to make the bridge by train.
Yes, I think you are right, what an incredible engineering feat 🙌
thumbs up. 👍
Thank You 😊 🙌💙
What chairs are you using?
The best!! Stratus Outdoors! thefeelgoodfamily.com/gear-and-discounts/stratusoutdoors/
Try this: AL-JE-BUCK-INNER.
Got it! Thank you 😊
