The books describe Harry and Ginny's relationship so delicately....u could literally feel Harry's finest emotions for her....but in the movie they never really did justice to Harry and Ginny's bond according to me

It was Bellatrix who told Harry that you have to "enjoy it a little" when you cast an unforgivable curse. In the end the "Avada Kedavra" curse is the only one Harry never used at all (the reasons for that are pretty obvious). (Rowing even had to counter complaints about that by stating that Harry wasn't and never had been a saint).

The end is so cute how they named their children James, Lily, and Albus. It really shows Harry's love for his parents and both Harry and Ginny's love for Hogwarts and Dumbledore

My favorite moment between Harry and Ginny is in Order of the Phenix When She told Harry in Grindlwald Place that He is not the only one who get Possessed by Lord Voldemort ( In Chapter Twenty-Three page 462) and When she told him that she can ask her brothers to find a way to talk to Sirius, and invite him with Easter Chocolate egg.( in Chapter Twenty-Nine Page 603)
Apparently when James (harry and ginnys son) went to hogwarts, Ginny And Harry went to visit Petunia. When they came in Petunia started crying because she thought Lily and James came back to life until Ginny and harry told them it was only them.

The books are better then the movies by a long shot. Book Ginny is a way better then movie Ginny (then again that goes for a lot of the characters and plot points like SPEW and the marauders and a lot of other things)

Harry - Ginny's romance was probably the most interesting thing to me in the whole series. But they really didn't use her enough in the movies & it makes me real sad. And I seem to have bigger crush on ginny than Hermione. She saying "Take my hand " was my most favourite scene.
If you remember the books, Ginny isn't even an integral part of the main story. She and Harry were never really able to make any kind of effective connection throughout the entire series which makes their eventual relationship that much more so unbelievable! In the final battle there was never a mention of her name when it came to Harry but Hermione was there, wasn't she? The movies changed that dynamic and it was never part of the "cannon" story. Just disappointed about that whole thing.

The movies have portrayed Hermione as this perfect girl with no flaws. Ginny not liking Fluere dating Bill goes back to Ron’s embarrassing experience with her during the Goblet of Fire competition at Hogwarts. Almost losing her sister changed Fleure afterwards. Even Mrs. Weasley was cold and dismissive of her until Bill is horribly scarred by a werewolf attack and she stays by his side. Any ‘mean’ actions Ginny took was in defense of family and friends. She dislikes Cho because she decided to be loyal to a friend who betrayed the DA. Unlike the movie, no truth potion was required for Cho. Cho’s loyalties were divided and Ginny despised her for that as she put all their lives at risk. I think she had a point.
Also, Ginny, in comparison to her brothers, is not mean, she is tough.
Percy is mean to the point of being abusive. The twins are definitely mean, but because of their humor their behavior is applauded. However, Ginny is fair. She has amazing discernment and does nothing without a reason. She becomes a woman to be reckoned with. Growing up the only girl in a large poor family unpopular with the political and moral status of their times gave her strength. Being used by Voldemort against her will for evil, almost at the cost of her life gave her maturity and perspective beyond those of her piers. She was capable of admitting errors and corrected them to her credit.
I hate to say this because it’s overused, but you’re calling her mean when she is strong because she is a female. It is something that as a society we really need to get past.

Second, she did not write him a "Love Letter" in that scene she was obviously confused and annoyed with him. And third, The "Dwarf" (btw his name is Dobby) did not read the so called "Love letter" He was looking at the sock because Harry freed him from slavement. Ginny wasn’t in the room of requirement when Harry, Ron, and Hermione showed up she came in later with Fred and George. Over looking that down plays how loyal she was to Harry and the DA and how brave she really was.
You need to reas the book to fully appreciate Harty Potter series. The movie is a cut up version with some main bits left out. For example when Hermione is getting tortured by bellatrix the way harry and ron escape the dungeon is way better in book. Its just because you cant copy all the stuff in a movie so it dosent have same effect.

It’s so cool because they broke down each of Ginnys personalities because we can clearly see how Harry fell for her because she is amazing.
Ginny Weasley is so messed up in the movies, She is supposed to be a shy girl in the start, and harry thinks about her as his sister, but when she grows older, more beautiful , stronger and harry gets to see who she really is he starts feeling different for her, but he doesnt now what to do because she is very popular and he is afreid of what Ron will say. Harry and Ginny are perfect together because Ginny understood Harrys decisions even when it meant he had to leave her, she likes harry for who he is and not his fame. She always supports him no matter what, but also helped him in the right direction, she never blamed Harry for something bad because she knew he felt really sorry. They also laughed much together. Ginny is independent and strong she understands that she cant wait for harry to fall in love whit her, she needed to make her own life and then Harry saw her as the beautiful women she is. I hope that someone who didnt like Ginny or Hinny understands that Ginny become a strong woman an that Harrys feelings for her didnt came out of nowhere the feelings grew as they grew up and he finally understood that he loved her.❤💫

I feel like ginny was such an important role to defeat Voldemort that everyone misses because without Ginny Harry would have given up on voldemort and she was the reason Harry kept going not to mention that Harry loved her so much that he came back to life for her (as well as to defeat voldemort but he loved her so he wanted her to be safe and with voldemort there she would not have been) also she is so powerful that if it wasn't Harry's destiny and it had to be harry I would say she would be one of those to defeat voldemort but aside what -could've- happened she was *in the books* a crucial part in defeating voldemort... ginny is underrated in the films. I just loved ginny and her characterization in the books
Great analysis. I will say a few things though.
I don't think she was really jealous of Flur, Flur was just kind of rude and condescending and Ginny didn't suffer that lightly.
Also, she had a temper and could be a little mean at times, but you also see her comforting people all the time.
When Ron was humiliated after asking Flur out, Ginny was there comforting him.
When Harry was feeling lost in the fifth book and wondering if he was possessed by Voldemort, she may not have coddled him, but she made him feel better and helped him.
At the end of that book when he wanted to talk to Sirius, she made it happen and gave him his easter treat. I don't know, I just found that sweet.
In the final battle, she is kneeling by a dying girl and comforting her.
All this to say, Ginny also had a really kind and compassionate side, along with being a bit temperamental and headstrong at times.

I think the films changed her because obviously Ginny was too much for her own good and set a bad example for young viewers.
In the books, Ginny is sooo much more than just Harry's love interest. She's brave and beautiful and strong. I was really disappointed in the movies when she was portrayed as a much weaker and minor character. In both the movies and the books, she is clearly part of the silver trio that consists of herself, Luna and Neville but all three of them I feel like are more minor in the movies than the books.
My favourite Ginny/Harry scene from the books was their first kiss. That first kiss was powerful and passionate and perfect. It happened in the Gryffindor common room after they won the Quidditch. It was perfect in the sense that it wasn't awkward and weird like the movie's first kiss in the secret room. Another thing I really liked about that scene form the book was the nod that Ron gives Harry, as if he is giving Harry permission, we miss that in the movie and instead, we get an awkward first kiss when they go to hide the book. Their first kiss should have been a powerful and joyous moment like in the book.

Ginny and Luna are friends. When Ginny first introduces Luna to everyone she calls her loony because everyone called her that. Ginny wasn't being straight out mean. Ginny was also not being rude to Fleur. Ginny and Mrs. Weasley called Fleur 'Phlegm' because they were used to being the only women in the house and Fleur was a bit invasive and she was very ignorant of the fact that she was annoying. Ginny and Mrs. Weasley were just getting used to Fleur but not rude or mean like it says in the video.

J K Rowling is sometimes over rated as an author, but one area that she completly excels is creating characters that you can love (or hate)
Belletrix and Ginny are amazing characters that many other authors would never have given the depth that J K Rowling did.
More than Harry's love interest? Let me tell you something. She obviously was probably just Harry's love interest because it Rowling's plan for her. And besides it's not like a lot of things she did in the books useful to the main plot and some things she did set bad examples for young viewers.
Ginny was never mean to Luna .She was her first and best friend and even defended her when another charecter called her Loony. As for the Fleur thing theres no denying she was mean but it was NOT because she was unhappy her brother was getting married it was because of how Fleur treated her .Plus Mrs Weasly and all her siblings agreed with her.
Some friend book her was to call Luna looney.

The little biy is Albus, of course we remember the scene where he was afraid of becoming a slytherin and Harry said : "Albus Severus Potter, you were named after two headmasters of Hogwarts. One of them was a Slytherin and he was the bravest man I've ever known." You can't forget his name

Father: Has a mean streak with some people and can be quite jealous of others. Was probably heavily jealous of Lily's friendliness towards Snape. Traits all held by Ginny.

One of my favorite times of Ginny is not in the movies but it was at the books in the half-blood prince when her brothers wonder how she became so good at quidditch and Hermione said that Ginny said to her that she was taking the brooms from the brooms closet from when she was 6 years old because her brothers don't let her play with them because she was the only girl !!!
I had no idea that there was that much story behind Ginny's character.

Ginny didn't like Fleur because she thought Bill would have an interest in Tonks if Fleur wasn't around. She said it clearly that it would be much better to have Tonks in the family. Tonks was smart, fun and a family friend. Ginny thought Fleur was just a flashy tramp interested in Bill for his looks. She had no clue Tonks had already fallen hard for Remus Lupin.
I resent book Ginny for that.
If you pay attention in the books when Cho asks Harry if she could show him the statue of Rowena Ravenclaw, and Ginny steps in, it notes that Cho looked DISAPPOINTED.
How did you end up labeling their sons incorrectly?!! Albus is the younger boy. James is the oldest, Albus is next, and Lily is their only daughter and youngest child.
the cool thing is that she didn't become famous form her love live with harry, she wanted to become famous and in her career/life on her own career, which she did. I like that.

I always thought it was weird that, in the books, she had some of the most character growth of all the characters that weren't part of the Golden Trio. Yet Ron who was a member of the Golden Trio kind of had the least growth as a character. His growth was limited to I don't like Hermoine to let's be friends, and later more. Ron was always the type that wanted to shine outside of his brothers' shadows but never wanted to actually do anything.
My favorite moment with Ginny was asking Harry to zip up her dress. It really put Harry on edge and it was great. Plus, she is beautiful.

But it can still be improved we just need the aftermaths of war and Harry and Ginny finally confronting each other (with good romance) but J.k won't do it right 😭 I love Hinny 3000!
