    A nice realistic representation of White Island. Dived there quite a few times now and people always expect it to be going off but I’ve vary rarely had days where it’s been firing with big kingis everywhere. Only happens on the odd occasion, but there’s always the big mao mao schools, big moki, plenty of scorpions and odd tarakihi etc.
    So much fish to choose from always easy to gather a decent feed there From all the reefies, Good stuff!

    I'm always blown away by your videos and especially your diving ability! How did you work towards having such a long breath hold and depth?

      Consistently practice when out diving, thats the great thing about spearfishing. The best way to improve is to spend plenty of time in the water, which is great because we have a great time doing it!

    What is the purpose of the elastic keeping the flopper closed.

    • @WettieNZ

      We often do this to refine shooting, helps to improve accuracy and shaft speed. The flopper ring will slide off during shafts flight or when penetrating fish.

    Hey mate how do you identify current direction from the surface? Is it usually similar on the bottom? Cheers

    • @rudiv9019
      @rudiv9019 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      9/10 times your drift line will determine the current direction..
      Unless you have wind blowing one way and current going the other in this case to boat will relatively stand still..

      Congregation of concentrated fish life and bait will also determine the up side of the current and then determining the direction of the flow

      Lots of different ways, if you can see the bottom see which way the fish are facing, which way the particles are moving and of course which way you feel yourself being pushed. Sometimes tide can change on the bottom if it is swirling in an area. good luck out there!
