    Very cool greenhouse thanks for sharing your work! Im new to greenhouses and planning a build now and an idea for you which may work for humidity try adding a dripline. cut like a 3 inch x length of greenhouse plastic and or tape and run it along both sides kinda on a very sloped spot before the water runs down the walls. so humidity drips on the plants (or where you want water ) rather then running down the walls. May drop humidity and self water some of your beds. May you get huge harvests !

    Note that using automotive coolant may not be a great idea as it is designed for use in much higher temperatures. I’m in the industrial heat transfer industry and they make inhibitive glycols that have additives to prevent corrosion. Dowfrost made by Dow Chemical is a propylene (non hazardous) glycol that is an industry standard. When folks use automotive coolant in systems designed for temps that are used in your environment they get fouled and cause corrosion even in non-ferrous systems. Thanks for posting your videos. I’m enjoying them!

      Hey great to see a heat transfer guy in here! Great advise also as I hadn’t set up a system closed “loop” just open systems. I’m in the process of mixing up vegetable glycerin and water for a diy coolant that’s good to -40c or better at the right water to glycerin ratio. What’s your thoughts? lol

      @@Earthdwellershomestead Wow. That sounds cool. I’m not familiar with that sort of makeup so I can’t really comment. I assume you already know, but the heat transfer capacity will be much less effective than plain water. Do you have a source that I can look at to learn more about it?

      I’ve been trying to research what I can I my free time that is a site I saved for myself to look over.. Still looking at thermal carry and transfer. But I’m hopeful I can seal a system and use the suns heat and energy as solar power to create an experimental heater lol 🤞

    Your condensation problem inside the greenhouse would be significantly lessened if you covered the open water reservoir. It can still act as a thermal mass, but a cover (just a sheet of poly) to keep the water from evaporating would make a large difference.

    Uh wishing I had this set up right now on coast of Florida n it's froze 2 nights in a row frozen animal water frozen garden 😝 idea for you though..once summer hits how to use this as a coolant..maybe deep hole with rocks? Idk but it will be over 100 here in a few months happy holidays

    • @Earthdwellershomestead

      I was looking at the weather and saw parts of Florida are very cold, All but the handle was pretty well frozen. That’s crazy! This polar vortex has been brutal on the country. This system pulled our greenhouse through -50 to -60 windshields blowing over it all weekend, i was shocked to see my plants still alive. No sun with those temps were like Armageddon 😂. Thank you very much for watching! As far as cooling systems go we kept our cooled off compost in place in the small 6x12 greenhouse the last two summers and it ran as a geothermal cooling system and doubled as aquaponics waterflow and recycle. I plan to experiment with something similar in the big greenhouse once it warms up again and the shade cloths go up! Dreaming about those days already lol! Thanks again

    Do you think you could reference month/day information into your videos, to gauge against the growing of the vegetation. Is this January or March/April? See what I mean? If now, in Nov. 30 I look at you posting date, minus 11 months, are you saiing you are having 0F on Nov. 1st?

    • @Earthdwellershomestead
      @Earthdwellershomestead  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I do see your point there, this was filmed in the midst of a polar vortex coming last winter. It takes a bit to have everything edited so its always pushed back a bit and putting them in order to not reveal any new items or experiments lol, will be taking this into acct great constructive criticism I can use, thanks !

    Where would one purchase the hoops for the greenhouse?

    • @Earthdwellershomestead
      @Earthdwellershomestead  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hoops to make the greenhouse or hoops for row cover inside? I bought the cheapest biggest kit off Amazon and reinforced it myself the only this used from the kit was the skeleton. Poly was junk.

    Would the air going through the pile be too smelly to use to heat a home? I would think it would make the home smell too "earthy" don't you think?

    • @Earthdwellershomestead
      @Earthdwellershomestead  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      The air from in the greenhouse is what’s recycled through the tube it doesn’t smell like compost in there. It smells like a greenhouse lol but nothing but heat is coming from the compost

    For dealing with the condensation, I suggest taking a page from Tech Ingredients and drying the air with a liquid-based desiccant: th-cam.com/video/R_g4nT4a28U/w-d-xo.html
