Unfortunately I dropped my pliers in the water, than my $100 Bubba knife went in. I was down to my bait knife. After it tired, I cut the line. I hated to do that but that’s all I had left. Good thing I always take 2 knifes.
What the hell you talkin about shooting it? You're an idiot. Evidently you don't fish much or you would know how to do it without killing it just to get your hook. Yeah I've landed many sharks including the 7-footer and it lived to see another day. I've got pictures of me with 4 and 5 Footers couple I kept take home and eat the rest go back. Why is everybody stuck on a freaking 22. I grew up on those little thing. I-22 is not something people are making it out to be and it is not a good protection gun. I've been shot by one and what 22 do that they don't tell you is they ricochet. And they can travel a mile. I'm in Texas now but back home in Ohio do not put them because they're not strong enough and if you miss that bullets going to keep traveling and end up somewhere and it could be in somebody or somewhere it shouldn't be. As matter fact you can't even hunt with rifle there unless it's black powder. We use 22 for plinking cans or bottles. David Ragan and Brady got shot back in the 80s and the reason I survived it's because the bullet bouncing get ricochets. I still got a mark of a hole in my knee cap and the side of my leg where I caught a Wandering bullet from a 22 that hit my knee cap ricocheted off and came out the side of my leg. I was 16 years old. If you know how to fish right you would know to use a gaff to get them and hold them for a rope anti it like you use for alligator gar to go around the body and pull the noose around the body how you can safely get the hook out.
