Im a early 2021 player coming back because of natlan(supposed to represent my culture ) and logging in again and seeing the new stuff was shocking this game is finnaly getting out of beta😭 I quited in like enkanomiya it was really long ago
I've been playing since day one and just seeing natlan and the 5.0 livestream just made me so happy, and Mualani's trailer just makes me tear up because how much love the game is receiving (when it comes down to creating more things)

Genshin changing their Character “Demo” vid titles to “Trailer” now on top of the abundance of other changes really does feel like that 5.0 is a big turning point for Genshin.
for me at this point natlan feels less like genshin v5.0. and more like genshin 2 v1.0

The comparison is so weird cuz the only similarity between them is verticality in map design and the dendrograna grappling hook things lmao. Sumeru was mostly rainforest and desert up till its last big map expansion, landscape wise (even though it was done beautifully).
While Natlan has far more variety with a coastal scrubland area, a mesa biome, a volcanic archipelago and a rift valley all from what we have seen so far from 5.0 alone.

The tune is great, but the problem is the genre is a total miss. Compare it to Yoymiya's demo - a similar fun happy character - and there are traditional Japanese instruments that fit perfectly despite a bit "disco" style.
