    Spray Brake Cleaner Fluid is a very good cleaner when changing motor oil. A quick spray on the installed drain plug will clean the area really well. I think you may have cleaned the engine fill hole, which is very good. You always make maintenance look so easy. You are a great mechanic! I learn a lot from your work sharing! Thanks!

      @@ToyotaMaintenance I warn against using brake cleaner; it is very toxic to breath and to the skin; better to just use an old rag, wipe it dry and throw it away.

    I had a 2000 2wd Tacoma 4 cylinder. I changed oil 59 times on that truck.

    I really enjoy these videos but any genuine Toyota deserves full synthetic oil. Conventional oil is effectively obsolete.

      do you have to do any extra draining when switching from traditional to synthetic?

    Great walk-through. Good tips and other instructional videos always seem to skip important steps.

    Thanks sir for all your videos on these older toyotas. I have a 2000 Tacoma base 2.4 at 110K do you think I should have the valves adjusted or checked thanks.

    Where are you from? Such an interesting accent. I think you saved me hundreds already on my tundra. Why are you doing this.? Is there money in it?

    Do you every fill new filter with clean oil to prevent dry start ?

      I was wondering the same question. I fill the new filter with oil.

    Hello. I just changed my 2003 Toyota Tacoma 2.7 engine oil at 168000 miles. Do you recommend checking the valve clearance?

    Why do some people never wash/clean their engine and under the hood? I never allow my Tacoma to get this dirty.

    What's your opinion on using an engine flush in conjunction with the drain?

    Hello sir. Do you need to reset oil maintenance req light?

    • @samgo44
      @samgo44 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have the same model and engine but ‘96. It does not have a maintenance light to reset. That oil light is for issues with oil pressure not maintenance.

    Hi, What is the correct torque to tighten the oil drain plug?

    The brake fluid reservoir indicates VERY black brake fluid. It should be changed and flushed every 2 - 3 years. I hope the owner gets Peter to change this fluid as well. Never skimp on the brakes! You never know when you will need them.
