  • My family stayed at this historic no frills hotel at Mount Rainier National Park. Unmatched easy access to Skyline and other numerous trails. A great place to stay after a good hike around the area. Very attractive rustic style and a destination by itself.

Had lunch there in 1984 and there were 12 foot snow drifts outside. I had driven up from Glendale, CA and it was the most memorable journeys of my life...one I will never forget!! 😎😍❗❗❗❗

Wow that's 36 years ago! I think the average snow in Paradise is 55ft per winter, so 12 ft is nice. Maybe this summer, it's time for another lunch Doug! I love the place too. Surely one of the oldest and historic Inn in the Northwest.

stayed there in the 90s... I was inside walking out when I saw an elderly dude coming in, so I held the door. Didn't realize he was the first guy off a busload of tourists. Stood there holding the door for over five minutes greeting the entire bus as they entered.

That's so nice of you! You showed and gave them a dose of simple kindness. I'm sure you got rewarded by many smiles and lots of gratitude from that busload of tourists!

You guys stayed in a room with the private bathroom? Do you have footage of the smaller rooms? We are going to stay in those 2 twin bed room with shared bath. Just curious

Hi Hebing Zhou! Sorry we don't have footage of the smaller rooms with shared bathroom, only the place we stayed at. Yes, the rooms are relatively small but comfortable and very clean. The beautiful lobby with large sofas, fireplaces, and a piano is the best place to hang out, so the size of the room didn't bother us. We just love the olden days, historic ambience. Enjoy your stay!

Nice, I visited in Oct 2021 and it was closed

Oh, I think lodging is available from Mid-May to late September or early October. And I know sometimes the road is occasionally closed due to adverse weather, so it's better to check the park's website for status before visiting. 👍
