Easy for some of us, not so easy for others.
My wife really enjoys playing FO4 but she has a lot more trouble playing than I do.
Although she spends more time at it and has 3 characters where I am only playing with one.
Plus her main character is leveled up quite a bit more than mine and mine is currently level 97.

My grandpa had a wolf dog hybrid that was huge back in the 1980's. I remember being around 7 years old with my little bro who's 2 years younger that me riding around the back yard on Tie's back like he was a mini horse. Some people say wolf dog hybrids are dangerous but Tie was a gentle giant who never once tried to hurt anyone in the family. Sadly we lost Tie on New Year's Eve of 1985 because the buttholes of North St. Louis firing guns off into the air which scared Tie then he some how made it over the 8 foot high fence grandpa had in the back yard then after that night grandpa never was able to find him again.

My grandpa's Tie was a very rare dog to have in the US in the 1980s as he was a mix of the wolf who was his mother and his father was an East German DDR working line German Shepherd which is around double the size of an American/Canadian Show/Pet Line German Shepherd. He was every bit of 150 pounds but there was no fat on him he was all muscle.
I picked up a supermutant hound to guard one of my settlements. This is a great little add on to Far Harbor. Nice video!

I believe that only those first three are named. After that, they are just junkyard dog, mutant hound and wolf (?).

actually if you have the beast master mod then the workshop cage dogs are a lot better. you can change their name, equip them with dog armor and actually take them with u as companions.

A guard dog just showed up at my settlement???
I think it's important to note that you don't need the beta wave by purchasing these. Unlike the capture cages. Only the cat is friendly without it. I think when you come back later to purchase another, the menu does say wolf, super mutant and junkyard dog as only the 1st of each has a name.

Rolling with strong now. Bless him, he gets all upset if I pick a lock.. even if I give him awesome loot. Right now he has a mini gun and even armour from his many fallen brothers😅I played this game years ago twice through and just started up once more.
Unfortunately I deleted all my saves so I'm fresh again. It's that good of a game though. Forgot all about it but it's so worth another go. Just discovered all the creation club stuff too so double whammy!

I know people have a ton of complaints about fo4 but one of the very few I have is they didnt do more or have more "friendly" supermutants. Like a jacobstown type place. The vim pop factory would have been perfect. Also, been binging your vids past few days, recently jumped back into it to do a raider playthrough. Thanks for all the tips.
He is going to his shop so he can sell the dogs. Let him go to his waypoint marker, so to speak, and he won't walk away.
You couldn't press "A" because it was a cutscene. That why it said the individual was busy once it finishes the scene with the dogs you won't have that problem.

typically animals are 5+ defense to a settlement you should be able to check the defense plus if you look at the animal while editing the place using a workshop so there is that
the wreckage of that plane in a swamp reminds me of that swamp planet on star wars.

PS4 MODS CAME OUT YESTERDAY YEAAAAAAA
I have a deathclaw guarding my settlement, but if I release any other normally hostile creature from it's cage, my deathclaw attacks it. Would my deathclaw attack the mutant hound I buy from Erickson?

He's on Xbox One I think, just without mods. Also Bethesda hasn't announced yet, so I doubt he'd know.

OH MY GOD THEY ARE SOOO CUTE! Never seen a wolf in the game even as an enemy. Has anyone seen one outside of far harbor?
I believe they're a Far Harbor specific enemy, meaning they won't spawn outside of that area. That's why you only see them in Far Harbor. The closest thing you'd get in the Commonwealth are those wild mongrels you usually see with raiders.

That's correct. They're unique to Far Harbor. However, with the tip in this video, they can exist in your Commonwealth settlements too!

Hey Paul, how did you get the construction style protectron paint? Is that included in the DCL or is it a mod?
I think I just built that guy using the Automatron machine. But it's also possible that I just hacked him from somewhere else and he followed me home. Hehe, sorry I can't remember. ;-)

there is charisma needed if you killed a dog of his before

It's not a bug that he wont talk. You need to listen to what he says and follow him up to the dogs instead of spamming A as soon as you see him.
Apparently so, but I don't remember any other NPCs in Fallout 4 walking away from you mid-conversation so I wanted viewers to know it's all good.

she doesn't have to cross the ocean, maine and Massachusetts aren't separated by water. I'd be easier to travel by boat if you were going from Bar harbor (Far harbor) to Boston but it's certainly not necessary.
It _would_ be necessary because Far Harbor is an island. That means it's surrounded by ocean.
+Steve Tao but it has a highway connecting it to mainland maine. unless the war or time destroyed it she could easily use that and avoid the ocean

Thanks guys. Yeah, in mid-sentence I was envisioning the boat the character takes to Far Harbor, being an island all that. But I certainly know that Maine and Massachusetts are connected by New Hampshire, otherwise I shouldn't be running the Skooled Zone. LOL.

I like Nuka World best of all, but I'd go with Far Harbor over Automatron unless you really want a robot companion. You might want to see if the Season Pass is still available to get the best deal.

hey Skooled zone, after you do all the railroad quest could you do the minutemen quest, or a live lets build where you build the basic settlements and DLC settlement in: far harbor / nuka-world / Automatron. maybe a handful of the settlements like 3-4.
It would be cool to see the settlements, your finch farm base is really cool and i would like to see more cool ideas, :)

I think you can kill your own dogs (by accident hopefully) but the enemies can't. They just lay down for a bit. I'm not positive though. You might want to save and test it.

Dang it! I don't have Far Harbor yet.
It's worth getting in my opinion. Very big explorable area and lots of new gear and settlement options.
Skooled Zone I'm pretty close to finishing the main quest line, so I dare say I'll be looking into Far Harbor DLC soon.
