Chris Hemsworth was really the main reason for the tonal change in Thor/ the movie. He was growing a bit tired of the character and feeling shoehorned into a style that he wasn't enjoying anymore. Plus, he had said in interviews that he would love a more Guardians of the Galaxy vibe, which the people at Marvel Studios most certainly heard.

So he’s still an ass. I’m glad this movie shines a light on it. In the end, he raised Hela. She became who she became, because he wanted to conquer. In the comics, Bruce Banner has DID (more commonly known as multiple personalities) as the result of an abusive father. Hulk is a child alter, an angry kid who just wants a parent to look after him. His purpose was to defend Bruce from his dad. They didn’t go that way with the movies, but it’s cool how you still managed to pick up on it.

I mean, I don't know about the Hulk, but like, Thor's an Asgardian warrior, she's an Asgardian warrior. What actually separates them other than Thor being royalty? We know they're not really Gods, just pretty OP aliens.
He's got zippy lightning powers though (and she's an alcoholic), so maybe he's got the edge, but I don't know about being in a different league...

@@leighd7747 You said it yourself mate. What differentiates them is "Royalty".
There's a reason being the King of Asgard is a deal as big as it is made out to be. Remember Thor 1 when Odin was banishing Thor away to Earth? With words, he was stripping power and magical armor off of Thor.
It's explained in the movies in a fading fashion, but a lot of magical power flows through the tree of the world, Yiggdraseel (spelling might be wrong, but Thor explains it to Jane). That magical power is harnessed by the King of Asgard.
So being a Royal in Asgard truly does distinguish you.

The reason why Loki was able to go to to toe with her is because he was trained by his mother. In his own right he is strong and fast but no where near any level of a true asgardian. He was given his magic abilities from his mother, she wanted him to become something for himself. So he essentially learned how to fight like a valkyrie and use magic, which is why you see similar movements and techniques between Loki and her. Without his magic he still has those hand to hand combat skills.

But they also did that to his brother the collector .. and hela was never odins daughter... I definitely don't like that part .. and of course Valkyrie .it was a OK change Because she acted the part pretty good ,,even though she's normally a tall white Viking looking woman.. @@Pinkielover Dude, Black Panther is well know in the comics and of course it would be stupid to change such a character because his race is important, but this Valkyrie it’s not the blonde, white woman. There’s multiple Valkyries and this ain’t the one that you’re thinking of, that one looks like it died protecting this Valkyrie, when Loki looks into her memories you can see the blonde protecting her and getting stabbed, so it’s not a big of a deal..now, Grandmaster is stupid, I didn’t like him at all.
And Taika said that Thor love and Thunder is even “funnier” (I hate that title)…me personally I don’t love this movie as people do, comedy is hard for me, I hate cringe and unnecessary jokes. This movie storytelling rely so much in the comedy and that’s a no no for me. I still have this movie at a 8.5/10 because it has arguably the best cinematography in the MCU, the soundtrack is good and the acting, but the storytelling is not that good compared to other MCU movies and they change Hela and Grandmaster by a lot, so that took me off, but yeah…

Yes, The Incredible Hulk was released by Universal because they own the rights to solo Hulk films - the first few MCU films were released before Marvel Studios was a full studio, so they had partners like Universal and Paramount who released the films. Then Disney bought Marvel and took over the distribution role.
So if Marvel were to do another solo Hulk film, they have to involve NBC/Universal which they have been reluctant to do. Kevin Feige has on multiple occasions hinted that that situation might change but won't give any details.
