    The problem with applying an ND filter and following the 180 deg. rule is, the EIS won't work properly anymore. So there's a need for a gimbal or tripod.

    • @PolarProFilters

    One notice, if you're shooting some action scene, you should use simple rule:
    fps - 24 | shutter speed - 1/96;
    fps - 30 | shutter speed - 1/120;
    fps - 60 | shutter speed - 1/240;
    fps - 120 | shutter speed - 1/480;

    In this case, action scenes will looks more natural and cinematic.

    I have a GoPro Hero 8 and sometimes the video gets darker automatically as I’m recording. For instance the image on the back screen is the same level of brightness as what my eye is seeing but as soon as I hit record it gets darker. One time I was standing in the shade and recording a barn in a well lit field and the same thing happened making the barn darker than it was with the human eye. What settings do I need to change?

    • @destinfarr
      @destinfarr 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Make sure your ISO, or shutter, isn't on Auto.

    • @OPFORDOC
      @OPFORDOC 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Grainy Content
      I’m using a GoPro Hero 8 Black to shoot content in 1080p at 60. I was using the Protune default settings. I changed the ISO to 100/800 and it helped a little. I have heard the recommendation to keep the ISO at 100/400. There won’t be much of a difference at 400 in the sun but helps eliminate noise in the shade. I use a mobile version of Adobe Rush to upload the content to TH-cam. The mobile version only lets me render at 1080 and not 4K. It’s my understanding if you render your 1080 content under 4K it will help eliminate the graininess because it uses a different codec. It seems as if it has become more prominent recently. I wonder if something has changed on TH-cams end or maybe it’s all the smoke from fires causing it. What can I do with what I have to get the best video?

    • @destinfarr
      @destinfarr 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@OPFORDOC I believe you're doing the best in your control. As long as you keep that ISO down to prevent noise. Shooting in 4K and downscaling to 1080 is certainly suggested for the best quality, as well. Although, this is not crucial since most people are watching videos on their phones these days.
      I'm not familiar with Adobe Rush and what codecs are used in that regard. But with proper color grading, it should come out looking nice though. If you're not color grading your footage be sure you are not shooting in the "Flat" profile.

    What's bitrate?

    • @PolarProFilters
      @PolarProFilters  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, Samuel! Bitrate is the number of bits per second that can be transmitted along a digital network - in this case, it refers to how quickly the camera is able to write data to the SD card as it records. "Bits" are units of data, there are 8 bits to a "byte". Feel free to reach out if we can answer any further questions (:
