You are correct when you say she does too much sometimes. Those clips are from when she was very young. She was singing like she was just given a Ferrari for her birthday. She was just taking her voice out for a spin. Now at nearly 25 she has the most amazing control and understanding of her instrument and is a far more polished performer. She can sing any genre and kill it. Listen to her sing her musical theatre songs like Someone Like You and Defying Gravity I like your analysis vids👍

I think Compilations like this, where you get climax after climax is a brain trip, so the "do too much" comes from a place where there's no context. You don't see the first verses or build up. its not a trademark, because you won't have a song full of squeaks. Mariah has a song entitled "Bliss" which is mostly whistles. her squeaks do not carry a note so its not very appealing to all. to her fans, they think its wow.

Agree with some straining in a couple of those clips but those vocal breaks are definitely her stylistic choices and NOT by any means accidental. Through out the past years, we have seen how she grew as an artist, including how she takes care of her voice. But she just keeps on getting better as she peaks, I’d say that her voice and techniques are its best TODAY, and looks like would be even better in the future. She is indeed the best female vocalist that we have today.

Morissette's squeaks, transitions in whisle, are most of the time on purpose, but I think she can't always control the pitch of it. Like if the whisle reach a note in the key of the song, it sounds better than if it lands on a note off the key of the song. But I don't know if it really possible to control. Nevertheless, even if she can do too much sometimes, she is so good we can forgive her. Plus she is still very young, so she got a lot of time ahead of her to polish even more her vocal abilities. I love her so much !!

The main issue here is her singing gigs were too many, too often, and tooooo many varieties that you can't control the quality anymore, so there were times her squeaks were annoying or she may get tired and pitchy after back-to-back shows. Philippine entertainment audience is very toxic and demanding. They always want the high-pitched vocals/songs, prettiest face, clothes, copying latest international hits. Its really damaging to rare talents like Morisette.
The dream on clip was a stylistic choice, it was too keep the integrity of the song as it is a rock song, such a brilliant live performer who can carry off just about everything.

I love Morisette but y’all have to stop counting “squeaks” as “whistles” or “high notes”. That’s usually a result of excessive vocal chord compression, in upper belts. Can she sing high notes? Yes. I absolutely agree ! Morissette has a beautiful voice! Absolutely gifted....but OMG some of her fans are insane, especially when they start to bash other singers to put Morissette on a petal stool. Those are not queaks, try searching her squeak compilation and youll see theyre different. Those are whistle notes or whistle glides, a gliding note

Morissette's squeaks, transitions in whisle, are most of the time on purpose, but I think she can't always control the pitch of it. Like if the whisle reach a note in the key of the song, it sounds better than if it lands on a note off the key of the song. But I don't know if it really possible to control.
Nevertheless, even if she can do too much sometimes, she is so good we can forgive her. Plus she is still very young, so she got a lot of time ahead of her to polish even more her vocal abilities. I love her so much !!
She is no longer that singer trying to be 'cause she is already. She is now a completeLy mature & a true Singer artist. Please React to her new original songs MV " love you still" & "Phoenix". @JustTheVoice Morisette is extremely gifted. The main issue here is her singing gigs were too many, too often,
and tooooo many varieties that you can't control the quality anymore,
so there were times her squeaks were annoying or she may get tired and pitchy after back-to-back shows.
Philippine entertainment audience is very toxic and demanding. They always want the high-pitched vocals/songs, prettiest face, clothes, copying latest international hits. Its really damaging to rare talents like Morisette.
The dream on clip was a stylistic choice, it was too keep the integrity of the song as it is a rock song, such a brilliant live performer who can carry off just about everything.

I love Morisette but y’all have to stop counting “squeaks” as “whistles” or “high notes”. That’s usually a result of excessive vocal chord compression, in upper belts. Can she sing high notes? Yes. That isn’t a question, but stans have to stop conflating everything. It actually takes away from the artist.
I absolutely agree ! Morissette has a beautiful voice! Absolutely gifted....but OMG some of her fans are insane, especially when they start to bash other singers to put Morissette on a petal stool. It's to the point it's difficult to enjoy Morissette's talent. I noticed some reactors are also afraid to speak their mind as a result of losing those Morissette fans from their page. Like chill...other singers can be just as good too.
