I was taught back in the early 1990's that the fire serivce was not going to keep breaking windows all the time. you were to try and open the window like it is supposed to open if posible. I see a lot of videos whre breaking the window is seemingly normal still. i was a fire explorer and that is what we as explorer/cadets were being taught to do in real life situation and not just on paper or table top. Is 3r working as E4 on this day? I think E4 is getting it's oil changed or pm service. thanks
the headfirst entry into an elevated window at about 8:40 is not exactly good to see... no BA on the firefighter, and no checking of the floor to see if there is safe footing... overall a great video, but definitely some areas where safety could be improved...
Watch all the guys with no masks on going into the building and people wonder how many firefighters end up going to the hospital for smoke inhalation. Maybe no one had to go for care on this call but this complacency is what leads to injuries and deaths.
@@Steve-cu1ye That is very sad considering in this day and age with all the equipment we have that departments do not ensure the safety of their people better.
@@andyoxleyonhistravels 😂😂😂😂 I am not sure why 80 percent of firefighter don't wear scba..not sure if they are afraid of being closer phobic I see alot of out of shape FF maybe that's it
Is it a good idea for the driver to take his hands off the wheel to sound the bull horn? I don't think it is. Perhaps a button on the steering wheel would be better. It doesn't look too safe to me.
There is only room for one firefighter at the front door. Maybe that is why he took it out with the flathead axe. You wackers need to get you face out of the books and actually fight fire.
doesn't mean it was a good idea... lol even with very minimal smoke, we should be wearing our BA - it only takes a few ppm of some chemicals in smoke to kill you.
Firtog, you have done it again!!!!
Outstanding videography!
I have over 200 of these videos and this is by far one of the bEST!
Wondering how old this is, & why driver is pulling air horn, while driving ? Why not next guy ?
so e-18 was rapid intervention team?
great video...any word on the cause?

That engine your in.. What year is it? Cause the lights look old and the horn is normaly a foot petal so the driver can have both hands on the wheel.
Awesome video!!

Even worse was going in without a charged line. Explains why you guys have such a lodd rate compared to other developed countries.
😂😂😂😂 Chicago fire department had 3 firefighter die this year from smoke inhalation 😂😂😂😂😂 and many more sick with cancer

@@Steve-cu1ye Poor training and poor leadership.

what other truck was that in the station it said 3r??? rescue 3
3R is reserve engine 3. Spare unit that was in service in place of the engine that should be in that station
why is the driver responible for sirens?
One firefighter in the engine looks like rookie.
Plenty of room for a forcible entry team to take that door with irons. If they know what they're doing as far as tool use and positioning.
Allentown PA
good point... :-s
all u need is a set of irons
needs a Q
Is this what not to do video 😂😂😂😂😂
i like british french fries too.
