Absolute awesomeness! I actually started a discussion in our company to have a designer look at my apps. I think we need to work closer and designers should start looking at us Citizen Developers because Power Apps is here to stay. This. Needs. To. Be. A. Series! :) PS. Chose to comment on this second video so it gets the love it deserves too. :)
That was great. Some feedback. I think it would have been useful to wrap it up with a final comparison of the before and after, just to clarify the impact of those changes.
Thanks for the feedback Darren! I agree, in hindsight that would have been nice! Just fyi we do have a side-by-side in the associated blog if you wanted something to reference: www.bulb.digital/blog/building-a-power-app-with-a-ux-designer
Not wishing to be rude, but Powerapps is the issue - it's clunky and has the look and feel of a 90s school programming 101 for beginners. I really think this is a poorly engineered product from Microsoft and there are other great low-code platforms out there that make Microsoft look like true beginners. Example, in the GUI there's a switch for a text box to enable/disable a "clear button" this switch does NOT work and it has been reported several times by the community to Microsoft, but the UI button still does NOT work! How exactly can I feel good about a product that Microsoft themselves is not interested in fixing. It's truly awful.
We struggle with this kind of stuff all the time! Definitely not trying to paint it as a “complete” tool, but usually a “good enough” tool. It’s hard when you find gaps in the tools like you’re talking about and feel like it will ever change.

Thanks for the love Adi! We're thankful so many have liked this video. It's definitely a topic we'd like to do more on.
Briliant! Rarely can find a video in relation to UX design in Power App.
Glad we could help! More to come :)
Big thanks from Germany. ;-) Glad input, easy to understand, good to know. Thx
Glad it was helpful!
I would love to see more of these videos with more examples of 'bad' UX/UI!
Thanks Vincent! We love the idea of doing more similar videos and are brainstorming on the best way to do so for our subscribers :)
Both the videos are so helpful. I am definitely going to apply in future apps.
Awesome, glad we could help!
Very good content, thank you.
No problem Pawel, thank you!
Thanks for this content, I will be applying some of these techniques as I go forward.
No problem Marsurice! Glad it was helpful.
I like the mindset of this. Not getting defensive instead just wanting to improve.
Yes 🙌

@@BulbDigital All good. Did read the blog. Not a UX designer but do appreciate the outcomes and how that applies to Power BI space as well.

Agree 100% - it's a 'good enough' tool. It has so much potential but Microsoft look like they've dropped the ball on this one!
