- Sakura Haruno, one of the Naruto Fanbase’s most despised ninjas. Dating all the way back to the beginning of her days at the academy she has been known for being annoying,boy crazy, not having any sort of goal or aspiration, and just overall being useless. There’s a reason why the fanbase gives her so much slack and honestly I have to agree with the fan base. She just sucks and today I wanted to give all the reasons why I think everyone gives her the hate she gets. So with that being said let’s hop right into it.

If you haven't already Orochimaru would be a good choice. The fact that he got essentially a karma Houdini at the end of it all left many rattled. Still the implication that Naruto and Sasuke can and will end him if he gets out of line is there so that counts for something.

And in that mission sakura knew she was worthless crying and getting knocked down ez and she was full of self hatred
And after that she trained medical ninjutsu and was also trained to fight you can actualy see her doin training during narutos missions, main story and fillers.
And the reason she fought sasori is because she didnt had a choice maybe
Medical ninjas in teams dont really fight unless maybe if its necessary and if you mastered 100 healings and stuff stated by tsunade.
And isnt it awesome how sakura was able to stand next to naruto and sasuke during the great ninja war
Considering she didnt have an OP ancestor like uchiha and uzumaki cuz her parents are flower vendors the only thing she will inherit in her family is that flower shop, and if ever she gets killed some how she wont see a floating man handing out free life she did her best its just not shown on the anime because its all about naruto you guys are asking too much
Sakura logic: the more Naruto saves her, the more she obsessed with Sasuke.
And for no real reason. He was nothing but dismissive and scornful to her she should've taken the hint. Naruto always listened and let her cry on his shoulder even after her nasty treatment. It turns my stomach to say this but Sakura REALLY flushed an opportunity at true happiness with Naruto down the toilet, he would not have walked out on her and left her single mom.
She always thing of Sasuke and never thing of anybody else beside him and she is obsses with Sasuke even thought he hurt her and she ruin the the chance to be with Naruto and Naruto always care about Sakura even after what she did

In hindsight it's probably for the best, Naruto is settled with someone who cares about his human qualities while Sakura, for her desperate desire and cold put downs, quickly found out that being with Sasuke is no rose garden and that she's going to be stuck waiting for him while he goes globetrotting. And that's the difference between both pairings, Naruto and Hinata understand one another while Sakura and Sasuke are like strangers walking in and out of each other's lives with only Sarada keeping them from falling apart.
The moral of this is that they should’ve written her better
It's also ironic that Sakura was apparently left in pretty dire financial circumstances in her marriage, remember when she would cajole Naruto into going out to expensive restaurants and then ditched him when he stated that he could not afford it while subtly mocking that she could? Karma sure knows it's game.
Sakura was willing to abandon the Leaf village just to help Sasuke get his revenge makes her a terrible character. Her undying obsessive love for Sasuke clouds her judgment on what’s right and wrong.
She was 12 y'all I can't emphasize this enough. She already cares for him as a teammate as well as Naruto as she protected them both in the forest of death as her teammates. And when she couldn't continue because he older and more trained opponents beat her, sasuke saved her, with an unreasonable power boost. She has a reason to have dedication to him at that point int he story. no one has taught her anything at that point except for tree walking and left her behind. She has rational fears of a child

First off, that movie isn't canon but sure. If you remember in the last fight between Sasuke and Naruto in the Valley of the End, Sasuke literally said to Naruto "You wouldn't understand my pain because you never had a family in the first place" so yes, Sasuke would understand. Sakura was blatantly disrespected by her own parents in front of a huge crowd too. Sakura only wished for her parents to respect her more yet Naruto's going on about how she should still feel lucky to have them. She didn't WISH for them to get replaced or die, she just wanted them to respect them more. Jesus.

You do know Sakura was unconscious during the fight between Naruto and Gaara right? She only assumed Sasuke was the one who saved her because either he was the last person she saw or it was because Sasuke is the one who usually saves her (canonically). When Sasuke corrected Sakura, she actually acknowledged it which made Sasuke slightly upset (either because Naruto was getting stronger or because he wanted to be the one to save Sakura)

The scene I've hardly seen people talk about is the one where Sasuke was leaving Konoha and Sakura followed him and tried to stop him. Let's talk about that. She didnot do it coz she cared about what's gonna happen to Sasuke in Orochimaru's custody, what she cared about is her die hard crush is leaving the villiage, her only motivation to go on those missions with Team7 with zero effort of improvement is leaving the village. She tried to stop him for her own selfish sake, coz she wanted to be with him. Who the fuck confesses love at a time like that? Saying shit like I'll try to keep you happy, I'll be your wife and shit like???? He doesn't care?? Can't you see that?! She did so coz she got desperate as fuck. So desperate that she even said "if you can't stay in the village anymore take me with you" that pissed me off to no end. Like?? You don't even care if he chooses the wrong path as long as you can be close to him and that is fucking sick. Would she had done the same if Sasuke wasn't handsome lmao coz the very foundation of her obsession is his looks. And then even after Sasuke again and again makes it clear that he dislikes her she kept up with it, crying and begging Naruto to bring him back knowing full well Naruto would do anything for her. Sakura started treating Naruto better in Shippuden but season 1's Sakura was simply unbearable.
well number one he does care about her and she does care about his safety, your missing the whole forest of death fight, She didn't protect sasuke because fo his looks, she protected him because he was in danger of enemies. And she was defending Naruto's life as well, and she went long gaps without seeing both for training while she was essentially abandoned, which is criminal with all the potential she had. She confessed her love for sasuke because she cares for him deeply as a teammate and as her crush, and while its not really excusable, she has valid reasons, and he cares about her to as a teammate.. - Abusive to Those Around Her: aside from beating up Naruto, she punched Sai who told the truth about Sasuke saying that he is a criminal and called her “ugly”; stomp on Kiba’s foot when he told her to tell the truth after her fake love confession to Naruto failed
- Stupidly Delusional: Karui and Omoi surprised attack Team 7. After getting kicked in the face by Omoi, they told Sakura the truth about Sasuke who kidnapped their master Bee and joined the Akatsuki. The stupid part about this scene, Sakura didn’t believe them and cried about it when Sasuke was already a rogue ninja to begin with, which is no surprise.

Sakura’s obsession with Sasuke butchers her character’s redeeming qualities in Parts 1 and 2. Every single time it seems as though her character is actually undergoing growth, and she happens to see Sasuke, that growth evaporates. Kishimoto got better at avoiding this as the series went on, but at the end of the war arc he reverted right back to his old way of writing Sakura.
Even if some people somehow like her relationship with Sasuke, I don’t understand how they can justify to themselves with mental gymnastics the fact that Sasuke not going home to see his family for ELEVAN YEARS is a perfectly fine thing. That is actually insane to me.
How is Sakura not knowing if her own husband wears glasses, cute? How is Sasuke not knowing what his literal child looks like, cute? How is Sakura’s only recollection of a date with her husband being a 2 minute long ordeal even remotely wholesome? And all of that is in Boruto, where you’d assume the issues with their relationship would be fixed via retcons! I mean, people are so starved for affection within that relationship, Sasuke merely calling her his wife is grounds for a “moment” to some people.
It’s a shame really. Sakura had the single most potential out of all female characters, and Kishimoto squandered it by having a female character be so tremendously influenced by a male one, yet again.
I sometimes wonder if Kishimoto hates women and that's why he screwed over every female in the series 🤷♀️ Sakura was based on his wife too. I can't imagine how it must feel knowing the character your husband created based off of you he purposefully made her the most unlikable and weakest person ever. While Naruto was fighting Pain Sakura was busy healing 100 of ppl, started off by saving a child and a woman then they NEEDED HER to go to the hospital and heal all the hurt ppl, not only that but she bestroyed pains summoning with only ONE punch *ik yall r gonna shit rn and be like "BuT wHy DiDn't ShE sAvE NaRuTo" which makes me question if u watched Naruto even more, as a medic ninja u are NOT ALLOWED to enter in a fight and have to put ur life above others bcz if she died who the hell would heal all those civilans????? she got monster strenght from Tsunade who put her trough TERROR training in which she would break Sakuras bones and make her heal herself. Then we have akatsuki attack where her and granny chio faught sasori, before the fight even started the big rock which was in the way of entrance was supposed to be broken so they'd be able to enter, where Sakura,again , with only one pucnh crumbeled it to dust. delusional mf say chio did most of the job, but, chio helped sakura take down SASORI *also sakura was the only woman to defeat an akatsuki member , not his dolls, all 100 of the dolls were destroyed sakura herself, and later on in the fight granny chio admmited sakura doesn't even need her anymore, and AGAIN to mention that as a medic ninja that wasn't even her job, yet she still did it with ease, then she (under 2 min created an antidote for sasoris poison , which not even the gran ny chio or ANYONE ELSE could do that just goes to show how good of an understanding she has for medicine). she saved kunkoro, short end easy. lets go to the war arc where she truly blossomed, not only did she have 100 healing but she got stronger THAN TSUNADE and she was only 17 at that moment (for ppl who say that that's not true ur full of bs, even hasirama himself said she got monster strenght which is grater than tsunas, talk to the wall) she destroyed 100 oh summoning, healed a whole army of shinobi and awoken lady katsuyu, later on she saved Narutos life by doing open heart surgery. She hit Kaguya so hard she broke off her horn *and for ppl saying that that only happened bcz she didnt notice her r full of bs, in the manga its clearly shown that she saw her and lets be honest shes a literal god who has byakugan so there's no way she didnt, she just wasnt as fast as her to react, also lets not mention how she had enough chakra to help obito open a whole portal to save sasuke, lets go to the last, it is shown there that she is immune to genjustu, which is the only reason the world was saved, shikamaru said it himself bffr. im not even gonna talk about boruto cus that women went crazu there and became the strongest kunochi ( talk to a wall its written in the data book) , opened a hospital, defeted an uciha who had multiple sharingans and no in the manga she wasnt saved by sasuke. there were more moments of her being usefull, like saving sasuke from falling or when she healed both naruto and sasukes arms, or when she healed naruto in front of minato, or when she AGAIN healed naruto after he got burned like a toast from from ten tailed beast taking over, healing hinata after pain almost killed her, healing karin, i just dont feel like writing all, and overall saved both of them multiple times. keep in mind she wasnt born in a talented clan, she had to work hard to achive what she did.
