I was on DLA indefinite award. When I applied for Pip, I was given only 4 points. So obviously didn't get it. I have Depression which was diagnosed in 1981. I have been on antidepressants all my life with no breaks. I also have Arthritis in my neck, Arthritis in my lower back, all of which have been confirmed by MRI SCANS. I also have a underactive thyroid, Celiac Disease, and Tinnitus in both ears so I have a hearing impairment. I got help with my appeal with the Law Centre. It took 12 months for the appeal. I cried throughout the whole ordeal as things like that make me nervous. I won my appeal and was awarded a long award of 3 years. I have just had my Pip award Review which I got help filling in as my mind go's blank over things like that. I'm anxiously awaiting for the decision. I'm from England. It's a bloody shambles.

Im Scottish also there’s a new disability benefit replacing pip
Try to get your gp to send you to see a specialist so you have more evidence. its a horrible experience having to go through those assessments.
I have been through it many times don’t give up.
Don’t tell the benefits that your doing videos and other activities they will look at
Everything and form the (opinion) because your doing hobbies and still have interests that you can't be all that depressed.
Depressed people can do some activities depending on the person but the dwp don't see it that way as soon as you mentioned
Certain things they will make a assumption that your totally ok what isn't the case with a lot of people.
When they ask you can you do this or that the answer should be no no give those people a inch and they will take a yard.
All the best and as hard as it is try to keep the chin up things will get better 🙏

That sounds like an absolute nightmare, and the whole concept of 'guilty until proven innocent' sounds ludicrous with people who already have some kind of serious mental illness. I rarely say anything good about the Irish health system (which is completely underfunded) but when it comes to payments they are pretty good. I hope it gets resolved for you asap. I know what it's like to have a very poor sleep pattern, it's freakin' horrible.
