Welcome to movie time with IP Guitars😅
So happy to finally have this video made for all of you to enjoy!
What was your favorite part of the build?

      Very nice build!
      One thing:
I think the grooves in the nut are way to deep.
I personally had shaved off material on top of nut.
You just need depth enough to hold the strings in position.
To deep can cause tuning issues, string pops and intonation problems becsuse you really do not know where zero fret is.
      Just my opinion.
Congrats to a very nice build!

      Thank you!
Yes, the nut was cut too deep and when this came back for an annual check-up, that was the first thing I fixed😆
And not really an opinion, you are absolutely right! No intonation problems though, as I cut the nut at the correct angle, but the tuning issues (too much friction) was definitely an issue I wanted to deal with.

I really appreciate that you included so much! Beautiful build, my friend! 👏🏻 I always have so many questions on full build videos because there are so many skip ahead moments and cuts past entire sections of the build. Understandable, though. People's attention spans being short and all. Great job! Watched the whole damn thing and the finished product is gorgeous!

Thank you so much for checking out the video! I usually try to film as much as possible, at the very least each stage of the build, if there are parts missing it is usually because I simply forgot. With this build in particular I tried to leave as little as possible on the cutting room floor as it were.
The fact that you watched the full movie of a build (haha) means so damn much, thank you🤘🏼

Its awesome, you know what almost nobody covers on guitar builds, which I am getting addicted to watching and exploring to attempt, all the scale lengths, depths, widths and measurements. They also go into very little about the hardware selections, what you can mix and match and can't use together. I have seen tid bits here and there but nothing step by step. Do some of those and you probably hit a sweet spot if anyone is on the fence like me. Great job!

      Thank you so much!
And I had this all laid out for one series, which unfortunately never came to fruition.
But thank you so much for reminding me, that is a FANTASTIC point and one that I will surely exploit for a new series!

I’m currently doing a kit Les paul and utterly fucking it up in every way possible and more. This video is equally awesome and soul crushing.

@@waggy007 If it makes you feel any better, looking at my first attempts at kit guitars and the like, they were absolutely atrocious.
We all start somewhere and the most important thing is to learn from any mistakes we make, so that the next ones go even better!

Or will his utter lack of impulse control and relentless pace prove too be too much for this hack? beverages and his
