I can't tell you enough how much I appreciate you. I was searching TH-cam on how to identify certain weeds that I thought I knew what they were. In doing so I ran across your video. After watching your video, I went to the comment section. I saw quite a few comments that said it wasn't free. I just want to go on record and let the people know that it is free just to identify plants and grasses. I did what you said, I looked for the x button and walla. I identified 10 different weeds and grasses in my lawn. I then looked at the label on my weed killer and out off the 250 weeds that it kills, only 4 of mine were on the list. I had grown frustrated as to why this stuff wasn't killing my weeds and now I know. Now I can go to the chemical place (I don't know the name of it) and have them mix me up what I need for my lawn. You were the blessing that I needed. Thanks man. Sorry for the long comment. Once again folks, IT IS FREE!!! There is a paid version that gives you a lot more info on the plants and weeds. LOOK FOR THE "X" button at the top right corner of the page. It's kinda hard to see because they want you to pay for a subscription.
It's really good for broad leaf weeds but hit or miss on grassy weeds. I use it a lot to identify plants that I come across at parks or that people have in their landscape that I think are neat. It keeps the picture stored and I like that I can go back an look though them later when I'm buying plants for my landscape.
I agree I’ve been using it for a while and have found on more than one occasion that it has misidentified some species, I’m in PA and I was going around my yard one day identifying my trees as I had some that I wasn’t sure of, I have a really large maple tree , that I was sure was a silver maple but picture this told me it was a giant sequoia 😂 but it did work 90% of the time and I still use it often as I’m not the most knowledgeable when it comes to plants and trees!

Certainly not saying this app is not worth it but It is not free. Free for Seven days then if you don't forget to cancel $40.00 for the year. This may be worth it to many, myself even, I will try this week and make sure to cancel If I am not feeling the $40 Good. 2-4-D takes care of most weeks I don't know or like.

You’re right that picture storage feature is really nice. I’ve had good results against grassy weeds with a close up enough picture
great app. not always 100%, but helpful in narrowing down your search and then double checking on a couple of those results which one it actually is.

That’s a good option. iPhones have a similar feature too!

When I made this video, you can still use the features without paying. It prompts you to give money, but you can select the X or Cancel in the corner.
