How To Repair Holes In Dashboards and Plastic Trim in Cars, Trucks and Motorhomes.

This is a step by step guide how to fix issues with trim, giving the repair an almost invisible look again.
First step is to clean down the affected areas, next if the trim can come off the seat take it off, then bond the hole from the rear with fiberglass mesh, then fill the hole with base grain compound, heat gently until cured, apply top grain copier and heat until cured, wipe down again with alcohol cleaner, apply vinyl adhesion and then paint and lacquer the jobs done.

Can the base brain be left to dry without applying heat?

Hi no they can’t be left to dry I’m afraid both the base grain and the grain copier can only dry with heat from the heat iron shown here

Black cable ties are hard plastic not a flexible matures that’s needed for leather or vinyl
