The crazy thing about Kelly is she also does Kellyoke Classics which are just her covering her own songs and she even knocks those out of the park. She's insane. Outside of her talent it's the fact that Kelly truly appreciates and loves music and with her covers always comes a love and respect for the craft and the artist. Just love her
Doing the classics of her music she's literally out doing herself when she does it I guess that's what happens when you're the goat. Eminem got tired of wrapping against other people so he is rapping against younger himself
I actually think that Kelly Clarkson is maybe my favourite female vocalist. She has such a versatile strong voice and I think she can probably sing anything!
Kelly is my absolute favorite female voice. Talented beyond words.
She never sounds like she does too much with songs, she knows her voice so well and never sounds harsh on the ear which is why I love her so much.

I saw an interview at one point where she had been volunteered to do I Will Always Love You for a tribute, and she said she would not have chosen to do that song if she could help it because you can't do it better than Whitney or Dolly, that you've already lost before you start or something along those lines.
She has said a few times that at least one song that she will not cover because she finds the original singers voice so crazy and talented is " Cry, Cry, Cry" by Judith Hill I believe and while it is an amazing song and Judith Hills voice is so distinct in terms of her tone, I personally believe Kelly can sing anything, as you said. Period.

Would you consider doing a video on celebrity backup singers? I’d assume backup singers would need to be similar to the lead they are helping? How does it work? Jessi Collins, Kelly’s backup, seems pretty darn talented. No other vocal reaction coach has done a video like this on TH-cam. Just a thought. Not really expecting an answer or a video. 😉 Thanks for all you do. ❤

She usually says no to Mariah songs , if you notice she has not official covered a whole lot , she’s a true lamb and Mariah is her Queen . Even though she can no doubt do it !
She is not able to get clearance to do Mariah songs.
Yeah. She says she wouldn’t really be able to not she the original as she remembers all Mariah’s adlibs and riffs.

Someone asked her if there was a song she wouldn't cover (ever). She said Despacito by Luis Fonsi she wouldn't do, bc she find it very difficult
As far as her songs sounding like the old ones....she literally said on the Terrell show how some songs are the same song in a different key with different lyrics and she pointed it out to the label and they didn't care and made her do it anyway lol😂
It seems a bit strange to compare a song that's very softly sung, like "Happier than ever" to Kelly's belt-y version. To me it's almost like apples and oranges.

Kelly does not OVERSING, to me, which Mariah and others do, routinely, Kelly is cleaner, more refined, emotion 💝🎶🎶🎶🌻
And that is exactly why her voice is stronger arrange is bigger her control is better. She protects her voice and there's been a couple times on her show where she didn't feel like it would be safe or great for her to sing and she doesn't. And so many singers will push through that and it ultimately destroys your voice like Mariah like Martina McBride. Don't push through as a singer

4 Non Blondes - What's up? is one of those songs that demands gruffness, it's not really improved by just singing it higher, I like the others, though.
'Is there anything Kelly Clarkson can't sing? ' QUIETLY. You wouldn't want her singing a baby a lullaby, unless you want it at 150 decibels!
You haven't heard everything that Kelly can do.
She can actually sing quietly and it's haunting. It's beautiful and she does sing to her kids.

Kelly Clarkson is vocally impeccable!🤯 But I have to say that she overdoes the songs, it doesn’t fit! She should dial it down in my opinion: We know that she’s great, stick more to the original! Just my opinion ❤
I like Kelly a lot but sometimes you don't have to hit high notes to make the song good which she is doing everytime in this video...
Kelly is a higher Soprano and basically stays in that range. It works because most songs are written for people with higher voices. However, even she has admitted that her lower range sucks. She has actually said, "I don't have lows," which seems odd to me. Maybe, she just needs to work on said register.
Her voice sits higher but her lows have greatly improved over time
She’s said in the last few years that her lows have gotten better (and her range in general).
When Kelly first started out she had a hard time with low notes but after 20+ years her voice has only gotten better! She doesn't have any issues with her low notes now, you can really tell when she performs her older songs now.
She's a very modest person, which is why she said that. She downplays her high notes too. She supports down lower than most sopranos.

I think she's incredible. However, singing 'better' or 'making songs harder' are different things. I don't feel she goes into oversinging territory (side-eye to certain people) but being able to do the octave doesn't make it 'better, ya know?

She is amazing ,but singing Mariah Carey's songs is a bit deal that is why she does not do that. BTW I love Kelly Clarkson

This video is pretty ridiculous. I actually love Kelly Clarkson and would be happy to see her getting the recognition she deserves if it wasn't such a redundant point being made. Yes, she can sing extremely well but how has it not occurred to you that this loud, belting voice only fits certain songs, and certainly doesn't fit lots of the examples here? Music is so much more complicated than whoever can sing the loudest/highest is automatically the best... Kelly can belt out all she likes but so much of the nuance, emotion, subtlety and atmosphere of the original songs are lost, carefully executed by the original artists who had the range to include all of that. I don't even like most of the artists in this video but this is such a flawed point being made. Imagine if every song sounded how Kelly sings? It would be extremely tiresome. I for one probably wouldn't listen to music much any more!

She wipes off the personality of every legendary song making it sounds like a housewife karaoke version. A talented housewife but still. Not everything is about hitting high notes
It's not about the notes at all, it's the emotion that drips from everything she sings.
