We fish the buzzbait at night here around East TN. 55 degrees is when the big ones eat it. Starting to get good. Had 17lb at Cherokee last Friday night.
Love Texas rigging the goat on 30lbs braid and fish it on beds in the spring! The Bass can’t stand it on there beds! I used the same goat the entire spring spawn and it caught a lot of bass! Tight lines!
I have tried the goats on buzzbaits. But I use a a lot of 3/8oz buzzbaits and I have found that the goat floats to much and makes it run more on its side then straight and true. Works well on a 1/2oz and up though.
Great video. I throw buzzbaits spring until trees start dropping leaves. I’m a bank angler so some spots are just leaf covered and water at this point is like 51-57 degrees. So I’ll transition more to a spinnerbait once I notice leaves laying on top of water.
Wicked tip ! I honestly just picked up a package of z man goat soft plastics. Gotta try it on the buzz bait as it's one of my best big fish producers ever, but I like that trailer idea far better than just the skirt for something very different. Will be great on all the waters I fish .
Hello Brian I’m new to the baitcasting world I’m a bank fisherman I have a question do you have to put a leader on your braid to fish with a baitcaster and if you do how much of a leader do you put on I’m also going to learn how to throw some top water baits I just need to practice wish I you had some bank fishing videos thank you sir
I always hear people saying they don't fish topwater when it's cold but I have no problem catching fish on topwater as long as there isn't ice on the water! Maybe it's just the river I fish but I use a buzzbait and a walking bait all winter and I catch plenty of fish! The only bait that doesn't work as well for me in the winter is a frog...
So I see you removed the skirt. Is that a common thing you do all the time with all trailers or just when you using that goat trailer? PS...do you ship to Canada?
You make pulling the bait up over the keeper look simple. I know it should be but after a couple of years using Z-man baits I still struggle with getting it right.
If there's one thing i cant stand it's a "how to" where they don't get on the water and catch fish with the bait. This is the style of video i enjoy. Seems like you're due for a tournament win. 1st tournament next season got your name on it.
I'm at work 6pm to 6am I can't wait for the weekend @BrianLatimer.. I'm in michigan any quick info I could use for rod and reel I like grassy pads and shit folks won't touch I wanna run a 30lb line but idk what reel to run with or rod
Here’s the link to the plastics and the Buzzbait

Love the buzzbait. I'll throw that thing just about anytime of year. ✌🏻😎🎣
I've watched almost all your videos. These types you make are my favorite!

I’m otw to fish a pond rn lol😂
Same haha, caught one yesterday on a whopper plopper, fall topwater is on
Caught a couple on 2' crawfish crankbait.
Brian. I see you took off a top seciton of the 3.75” goat. Why not use the smaller 3” version of the baby goat?

Does the buzzbait kit come with a pack of each goat or one single of each color
Bruh, I’m up north fishing for bass in my winter jacket. It’s to cold. 😂
Good stuff, Brian. Definitely feast or famine with a buzz bait.
It is definitely feast or famine but most of the biggest bass I've ever caught have been on a buzzbait!
great info. I love top water. Do you have a date set to come back to Brooksville yet?

Say Brian, what sort of yak setup do you have?
Do you think that 7ft 2 heavy would be a good swimming rod ?
🍻🤙🏽 Informative
When you stop seeing the fog on the water in the mornings you’ll know then that the water and air temps are the same-ish.
Hi Brian, are you able to explain why a buzz bait is better this time of year over other plopping style baits like the Whopper Plopper? Thanks!
You can make more accurate casts with a buzzbait
Once you figure out how to rig the new Zman ultralight stuff, you can rig anything.
That buzzbait kit sold out quick!
I know dude! You can still get the buzzbaits and a few colors of the goat as wel. I’ll post the link here

I use that exact bait on my buzz bait but quit cause i was constantly removing the legs from the hook
That's in my opinion is why he cuts it shorter. In my experience the short cut takes that issue away
@@989MiFi yeah i do the same but somehow they find their way hung up in the hook

I been hitting every lake I fish with a buzz bait this fall and haven’t even got one bite.
Do you always take the skirt off?
Always!
@@BrianLatimerFishing what effect does removing the skirt have on the bait performance? Just looking to understand the "why".

Do more episodes about rain and or before or after a rain or heavy rain there’s not a lot of information about rain out there
