I like to break down the words this way.
Graffiti = Illegal, vandalism, property damage, no mater what style.
Street Art = Graffiti, Advertising, Legal pieces, Logos, Shop signage, anything painted publicly in the street.
Forget the style, the question remains, Is the medium / work Legal ?
Many "graffiti artists" nowdays have never damaged any property illegally.
Example - Smoe introduces himself as a Graffiti Writer in his videos, but also maintains he has never done any illegal pieces in a recent upload.
This would suggest to me that GRAFFITI is just a style now.
The clue is all the big brands who are using it in their logo.
