The R8 V10 is one of my favorite cars. I love the sound of it's engine even tho it's from Lambo. I like the 2017/2018 car.

No, it's not from Lambo. The same 5.2 v10 but Audi used it first before Lambo used the same engine platform for the Huracan. Lambo just tuned it specifically, and they used different parts such as the intake and exhaust headers, downpipe, etc.

There are different firing orders for different engines, that's why there is are very different sounds from an LS (1-8-7-2-6-5-4-3, half the cylinders firing at the same time) and a Ferrari flatplane V8 (1-5-3-7-4-8-2-6, each cylinders firing at different times).
For the Audi V8, the firing order is 1-5-4-8-6-3-7-2.

Cost saving, it's significantly cheaper and in reality not that far off in real world performance. The V8 still sounds amazing too.

Picture this: a 3.2L long-stroke V10 with a pushrod valve train. It would be as cheap to build as a V8, and cheap to run as a V6. Meaning that you could put it in virtually anything. All that’s missing is the single turbocharger between the cylinder banks in a Hot-V, and you have something that could eat the. 12 for another decade.
