I am in this situation and I think the same . This just sounds like everything I ever wanted to do with my education but didn’t really know how . And we are the same age:))

I actually never applied, because as an earlier commenter mentioned, the whole concept behind minerva is a bit of a lie - its packaged as this amazing globetrotting academic experience, when really it offers vague degrees that risk not being recognised by well established institutions, all at a stupidly high cost. And i mean STUPIDLY high. I am 18 now, i just finished my a levels, and i will be going to study psychology at the University of Liverpool in september, which is a decision I am super proud of and happy with! All the best xx

Hey Dinara! I applied this year and the structure of the tests have changed a bit from my experience.. the maths was only 5 or 10 minutes if I remember correctly and there was only 15 or 20 seconds given to organize your thoughts in response to the prompt

I would really like to apply in future, but can students from Europe apply if their first language isn't English? I mean ofc not if they can't really understand it, but if they speak and understand it very well?
You have to speak and write fluently in english but it doesn't need to be your first language.

This video is really amazing!! I recently got a call with a Minerva admissions officer with my parents. It was very interesting and I got to know many new things about the school. It was also very informative like it's not really an interview. I wanted to ask you does everyone get invited for one? And how often do people make it from there? Thank you!! Go check UnJaded Jade. Beautiful piece of information.
You do end up with a valid degree - either a BSc or a BA, if I recall rightly. In the UK, I believe uni name matters more than what you studied; it's the other way around in Australia. A BSc is pretty good but a BA is very generic and not highly valued. Look into what you want to do afterwards and whether Minerva can actually offer you majors/minors in that area, as they take an extremely broad focus and don't have a wide range of subjects due to their small size.
I'd recommend reading through the comments on UnJaded Jade's video. Many people explain why they aren't really valid at all

For me they had some basic math questions (10 mins) this was kinda hard don't underestimate it and then a reading part where you had to write words that correlated with another word. This was a little easy. Mine was brush so I had to put words like teeth, clean etc. That was called the "creativity" section ( I think). Then they had the interviews and for this you have to answer some questions. You have about 1-2 min to prepare answers for these questions so think on ur feet. My one tip though is to put urself in a neat place because they will want to see you through ur camera all throughout the application process. So make sure nothing is covering ur camera. Hope this helps

wow i really want to go to this school but i just feel like im not ready yet or not good enough (im going into my senior year this fall) but its like,,,I really want to apply like i don't feel intimidated
You'll never know unless you try! If you really want something and it is fear that is stopping you, I would do it especially to overcome the fear because you are enough and you deserve the world. Good luck girl!

@@user-rs9ut9fo4k Nope, I'm an A Level student, dropped Maths like a hot potato as soon as I could, buuut might have to rethink that. best of luck on your exams, take it from someone who was expected to fail, its not as bad as its made out to be
What grades do you need to apply is it like an only A* and top grades student?
Hey! I don't know much about the British education system so I can't comment on that but usually Minerva students are at the top of their class. My grade point average was 3.7 (out of 4.0) without advanced courses and more than 4.0 with them. So you do need good grades but in my experience they don't have to be perfect :)
Lauren so basically you need to get A* and A and maybe B
Aim for the highest regardless!!

How long did you go to university for before you applied to minerva? and let's say your a freshman in university then when you applied did they take your freshman grades or your high school grades?
Can you please explain more on how the visa application works ,and how to get it?
what if you don't have good grades? what if they are nowhere near 3.7?
My grades are not going to give me a chance to get in sjsksk my gpa is currently 92.5% and in a sophmore :,)
you can try, 92,5% is pretty great and I think grades aren't everything that counts
I got in with a 90% average. From what I've seen the numbers really exaggerate how competitive admissions are so definitely give it a go! It's free anyways

Hi! You said that you went to another university. How long did you study at that other institution? Did you transfer? Did minerva validate your credits?
Hey! I studied for one semester and left midway my second semester. I started as a first-year student at Minerva because the Foundation Year program is required for everyone even if we transfer. I didn't apply for validating my credits so I can't comment on that. Hope this helps!
I didn't take math last year and this year because my school had the choice not to... Obviously you have to get good scores on all those tests right? :(
