12 Hour Drumming Marathon achieved in Nashik, India

The Dhol is the Indian name referring to any one of a number of similar types of double-headed drums widely used throughout the Indian subcontinent.
Pro Dhol Drummers and Tasha playing group by the name of 'TAAL-RUDRA' this week performed a 12 hour continuous drumming session and rocked the gathering crowds for nonstop.
The Drummers dedicated the performance to India's ex president & missile man, the late Dr A.P.J Abdul Kalam.
The key inspiration behind this 12 hours marathon was the KUMBH MELA which is taking place in Nashik in India all the way through to 18th September.
Kumbh Mela is considered to be one of the largest peaceful gatherings in the world where all the way upto 100 million people can be expected to congregate during the Hindu festival.
The Mela gets covered by media worldwide and is a place of pilgrimage for many devout Hindu communities and it is held every third year at one of the four places by rotation: Haridwar, Allahabad, Nashik and Ujjain. This year it takes place in Nashik, India.
The Drumming Marathon took place from 9 am to 9 pm this week.
The Drumming Marathon was verified as a world record by one of the invigilators from 'The Amazing Book of World Records' - a popular work records authority based in India.
