- The Taylor Swift takeover is all the buzz in neighborhoods near Gillette Stadium in Foxborough.
“I do all my food shopping on Friday before the traffic starts and I’ll just plan on being home,” says Walpole Resident Donna Daaboul.
Daaboul is bracing herself for the tens of thousands of Swifties swarming the area for the entire weekend.
“I can’t leave my house for three days. I am stuck in my house because if I leave, I can’t get back in because of traffic,” says Daaboul.
She isn’t too worried about it though because she’ll kick back and cash in.
“It is going to be an excellent business,” says Daaboul.
For each day of the concert, she’ll charge $50 for parking at her home, which can accommodate up to 25 cars.
“The town has been very acceptable to us now allowing us to pull permits so we can do this legally,” says Daaboul.
Swifties who park on Water Street in Walpole will drop their cars off in residents’ driveways and then begin making the roughly 25-minute walk to Gillette Stadium.
“I think we will definitely have overflow I don’t think we will be able to handle everybody that wants to come park,” says Daaboul.
That’s because Gillette Stadium’s prepaid parking is already sold out.
“Come on by we are down on Water Street and Walpole and we will be here we take reservations,” says Daaboul.
Daaboul tells Boston 25 News she already has a dozen reservations for Friday and at $50 a car, she’s already made $600, and if she sells out all three nights that’s $3,750.
