@@bboykiddblack that is what I've seen during this match in my opinion, I really really admire both of them, they are like super crazy and Aidan has done his best, but I honestly think that if shosei is for real the best tricker out here there is a long list of names really close to his level before Aidan. So basically I think that wasn't a great battle
basically it was the way they made the whole battles at the event work, at some tricking events it is round based while others timed. just depends on who's running it
Aidan did the longest combo in every round and also his tricks were mad clean! And it was 1 minute battle, that means it doesn’t matter who pass is, all you gotta do is your line.
Aiden's R1: 13s Shosei's R1: 7s Aiden's R2: 9s Shosei's R2: 8s After both competitors completed 2 rounds of Tricking, the announcer stated that they had 15 seconds left in the remainder of the battle. Given the amount of downtime, we can conclude that the battle was set to be 1 minute long. If both competitors knew this beforehand, then Shosei should of done longer rounds -- Aiden: 21s, Shosei: 15s. Shosei's combination selection granted Aiden (who went first), a positional advantage. This is why the more experienced competitors (e.g. Guthrie, Pinto, Graham) will do tricks while their competitors are doing their rounds. In a time restricted battle, you can't let the opposition "eat up" all the time. That's Shosei's mistake. He's used to there being a set number of rounds, and he wasn't hungry enough to throw out another combination while Aiden was doing his final pass...it's just a sign of inexperience.
or maybe he didn't knew, realise that shosei speaks no english at all, maybe it wasn't explained proper, he probably just nods around and does as he sees, if someone says stop he knows what that means, but explaining him about the 60 secs could've been an issue, 1 minute for a final battle is a joke, regular battles get 3 rounds and finals usually 5, 1 min as a final should not ever happen =P
@@lukecable2031 yes, tricking is not only about power moves n hard tricks but u have to be super creative and show brilliant execution. Aidan showed very good performance but nothing extra ordinary. So for me its still not enough to cover Shosei's wild combos
@@sergeydyu1666 Aidens first marathon combo set a bar so high, Shosei understandably tried to kill that hype by jumping straight into his combo but that first combo made the best impression to me throughout the whole entirety of the battle. Just let someone take the W for once, its always been Shosei who won. Aiden well deserved this win imo.
Much deserved win. Aidan a complete tricker incorporating all elements of tricking very nicely. Shosei lacking the martial arts element. Although very dominate in twists and flips his kicks could do better. Much like earlier guthrie days and then he practiced his kicks alot. Which made him more complete imo especially in battles.
Yeah the time limit for a tricking FINAL is kinda stupid lol, just give everyone 3rounds and let them have fun. Exactly what could gone wrong - did go wrong. One of the participants run out of time without even getting a chance to respond with his combo...
this race against the clock is ridiculous. Why not just set 2 or 3 rounds for the contestants? the rounds can't exceed a 30 secs or something like that.
Michael Guthrie i know it wasn’t I was more talking about the whole thing, everyone was expecting shosei to win and shosei had the tricks to do it and it didn’t happened so people make a lot of noise about it like it was with trickstar back in the days 😁 I get why people are voting for aiden I’m just saying it’s starting the same kind of drama again 😊
@@MGuthrieTricking Mike to this day was there a tie breaker at the end between you and Andrew?? Cuz that's one of the big questions to this day... if it was, then Jeremy and Steve got it right that time.
Confused why this is on stance TH-cam channel. Don't get me wrong all movement is good to see. Aiden is super clean the battle seemed incomplete was it edited. As footage stands I would have given it to aiden
This is on Stance because we are channel about the art of movement. We have never been a 100% dance page. Also, many dancers have tricking backgrounds, and vice versa. So it is great to see influences from other cultures.
crappy judge lol, none of those guys could do what shosei did. You can't judge god bro, get outta here. Let be honest here, Shosei won that easily those guys just salty
wrong. the judges were mike guthrie (literally one of the most iconic trickers out there), johan kirsila (2nd best tricker in the world right now who battled shosei in the finals of hooked 2018), benjamin towels (one of the most knowledgeable trickers out there), danny graham (another iconic old school tricker) and one other guy. they're all VERY smart and know what they're doing while judging tricks. towels and guthrie did a breakdown of the battle and why shosei lost, but the video's gone now for some reason. the reason he lost was because he didn't time things well and only was able to get 2 passes in. he's not used to this format
Can someone tell me how it makes any sense to restrict it by time instead of giving each person 3 rounds each?
Makes sense if there is someone who would never win against shosei
@@t.rick1080 so because you're not as good as someone we handicap the match? Thats crazy

1st round goes to Aidan
2nd round to Shosei
And 3rd round i think shosei should had get a chance to do a last combo.. Little bit unfair in my opinion.
for me first one was a tie, second one was by far for shosei, and on the third combo aiden clearly fell after his triple full...
Aidan did the longest combo in every round and also his tricks were mad clean! And it was 1 minute battle, that means it doesn’t matter who pass is, all you gotta do is your line.
Gotta use your time wisely, be prepared and know the rules going into it. You get 60 seconds
3 round against 2 rounds, just like when physics against lilou at rbbc

I mean maybe Shosei's not entirely focused on winning, maybe he just wanted a fair battle and to give Aidan a chance

How do you lose a battle when you do a trip and quad in one combo LOL
When you’re not the country boy 🙃 that’s sucks men

@shadow影 that's stupid
Not fair
Battle structure is ridiculous, Aiden did 3 rounds and Shosei 2 haha, don’t even have time to give a proper reply
Damn. Either way this was a great battle between them both. I could only imagine how tired they both were
whats the name of last song in the background
I mean, towels is a judge so..
HAHAHAHAHAHA
First song? Plis
Aidan style is so unique and the flow of his sharp kicks are perfect for his long legs
Wow I'm shocked ... First time I see Shosei being defeated.
Lets say they just let Aidan win (with all my respect to Aidans skills). Shosei is just something beyond our understanding
Sergey Dyu shosei didn’t have the style or cleanliness or variety that Aidan brought
