Around 7:45.... I couldn't see what was hanging from the trees but could it bee that the spring flood raised the river so much that it deposited a bunch of debree all the way up there? That's quite impressive. It must be at least 1.5 meters above the current level.
That's exactly how I'd describe cycling in the rain: 'manageable, but not fun'. I guess that last year you toured during July. Here in Värmland, I recorded 24 days when it rained that month. That was the most I'd recorded for any month. That was followed by August with 25 days of rain! I got very lucky last summer during my six week tour, when the only day during late May and the whole of June that saw anything more than a few drops was the last day of June.
Crazy. The problem with the weather in Sweden is that it get stuck all the time😀 this summer was a disaster. All bad things that never went wrong got wrong.

Are there no Bothys around where you can sleep? We have them here in the UK back packers use them.
I never make up fires. But cosy to sleep in between two fires😀🪷🌲🍄🐟
