Dried dandelion flowers make a nice tea, the roots dried and roasted and ground makes a nice caffeine free 'coffee'. Fresh flowers, I like to dip them in either pancake or cornbread batter and fry them up.
@@NWFishingSecrets just on the other side of the road where you camped is a trail head don't want to say any names but you probably seen it. I have seen black bear on two different trips! Also I have never seen that creek crossing so high! It's alot lower normally.

It's great to see your backyard projects! Definitely look into "Straw Bale Gardens" by Joel Karsten. Follow his steps to enjoy a bountiful harvest. It's very inexpensive and easy to do.
I know that smell of the mountain forests of Washington. I can imagine it even from trips to Sunrise and Paradise when I was a teenager. It's the dirt, the trees, the water all mixing in a cacophony of aromatics that create a strata of memories which rival the mountain trails and meadows themselves.
man i lived in WA for 9 years and mooved to NC about 5 years ago and i so wish my dad would like to do stuff like you, he does sometimes and last time we went we fished for 3 and a half hours on a river and only saw 1 little trout. your videos make up for what i cant do here. keep up the AMAZING work!

Hey man love the vids. When fishing the bullet lure up stream, you should try a really slow retrieve since the bait fish you are imitating aren’t the greatest swimmers so it might be unnatural for the other fish to see a minnow flying up stream.
Not gonna blow up your camping location, but that first spot you stopped at is one of my favorite! it used to be even cooler before it flooded like 7 or 8 years ago. also, there is gold in that river!!!
Love your stuff, also love your excitement lol, its great to see people enjoy gods nature. A tip.. get a small container and leave some coffee sachets, sugar and milk and a litre of water in a sealed bag under your seat, comes in handy many times, and just update it yearly. No more missing your coffee. I adore your chickens :) Show us more of your farm.....
Dude...love the garden, always loved going out fishing...then one day I told my wife I was going to start a small garden.....now I have raspberries, black raspberries, blackberries, strawberry, black white red and pink currants, gooseberries, grapes, apples, cherries, honeyberries, jostaberries, blueberries, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, onions, any herb out there, potatoes, ground cherries, carrots, radishes, lettuce, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, cucumber, zucchini, yellow squash, butternut squash, and cantaloupe....or as my wife calls it "issues".
I watch alot of TH-cam and you simply have the best product out there. The time and work you put in is so evident in all of your videos. Phenomenal job. 👏
The black and white chicken looks like a Dominique, very good breed and also the oldest breed in the USA. Keeping chickens is so rewarding, I also have a small flock of Dominiques.
