Band-Bending in SemiConductor-Electrolyte Interfaces

Semiconductors (SC) serve two critical role in the SC-electrolyte interfaces. First, the absorb light to generate electron-hole pairs. Second, the created electron-hole pair have to be separated. This separation is made possible via the band-bending in the SC, the origin of which is elaborated in this lecture.
