God will have the whole heart, not Most of It!! Its all or none. Its like marrage, you give yourself completely to the one you Marry. You are married to the object of your Love. Do you desire to be the bride of Christ?? Oh yes, then you will Give All for his Love, to please Him and to be subject to His rule as your King. Just like a faithfull wife to her Husband.Oh How Beautiful!!!
There were many times during this sermon I felt very unworthy. I reflect on the ugly sinful mindset that I have. Thoughts of pride. Wanting to look smart. These are delusional thoughts. I can't do anything except seek repentance.
Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance. (Mat3:8) _ I usually like how the NIV phrases things, but weirdly it's as awkward as the ESV here! "Produce fruit in keeping with repentance." Tyndale NT "belonging to" KJ2000 "befitting" CSB & NASB20 "consistent with" NRSV & ASV "worthy of" RSV "that befits" NIV, TNIV & ESV "in keeping with"
Jesus is worthy to be worshiped. If we look at all the different arguments in regards to why the christian god, you can see why he is worthy and why all the others are not and are lacking.
