The Echo/Yaris lineage was simply goated. I had the oldest, shittiest Toyota Echo in existence and the engine never gave me the slightest trouble. Ran fine until the back axle fell off while I was slowing to stop at a stop sign. They'll break apart before they break down

Mileage is still awesome for a 17-year old standard. Until that fateful day comes, I'm hoarding savings and loving every minute of it.
