Wow! This is f'n BADASS I love it! Your lyrics here are really dope (yes I read along as I listened) you've got some poetry going on here and I love it. One thing though, may I ask how much AI you are using? I would like to check out more of your work, but I am a writer and an artist, and I don't like AI being used to replace human talent. I feel it is unfair. But also, I've used Grammarly and photo editing, I'm no better. So I'd just like to know HOW involved is AI in your work? What do you use it for?
It kind of varies from song to song. My current method is building a backing track by layering sounds. I'll start basic and add more and more, it isn't too dissimilar from music editing software in that way. Once I have something I like I'll add my lyrics to the mix. Some of my older stuff relied more heavily on the AI when I was learning, but I think most of that stuff has been replaced by reworked versions at this point. The audio and the voices are all AI generated, the concepts and lyrics are mine. It is faster than traditional ways of making music, but there is still a lot of work that goes into it to make it what I want. I completely get why it bothers people, especially when you have individuals who will use it to pump out completely AI genned stuff without care and trying to profit off of it. Not to mention, the way that the big music industry will ultimately end up using it to speed up their creation of pop music for the masses. The main reasons I started using it are: A) because I know it isn't going anywhere, it is part of a new era of technology, and we can fight it but Pandora's box is now opened and B) it helps me to create music again even though my physical disabilities prevent me from playing instruments now. I hope that answered your question sufficiently, I know it came out longer than I originally intended. Edit: I also wanted to mention that with this particular song, the very beginning intro is from Timbaland, because it is what we were given to build off of for the contest. So this song is a bit of a special case in that regard.
