I am surprised that, being so historic, remote, exotic and beneficial for tourists in every way, it does not have more tourism than other great cities in the world, such as Paris, London, Rome, Madrid, Barcelona, New York, etc. (which coincidentally is a combination of all of those and more)
@@gt63628 I think that it is having a lot of tourism at the moment, which limits it from not having more tourism yet, I think it is probably the lack of more flights.

You're right, prior to WWII Argentina had the 5th largest economy in the World and Buenos Aires City by 1930 had 93% of its population as Foreign born Immingrants from outside the American Continent; thus "tanos" became nickname for Italians, "turco" for middle-Easterners, "gallego" for Spaniards (as the majority of Spaniards came from Galicia in NorthWestern Spain) ...etc. Please show more of Argentina and please do not miss visiting "Iguazu Falls", "Usuhaia", ""Calamuchita" in Cordoba province, "Bariloche" , "Laguna de Mar Chiquita", .... etc.

@@IdahoVoyager Si hay algo que nos distingue a los argentinos son muchas cosas menos nuestros políticos pero la principal cualidad que tenemos es la HOSPITALIDAD , un valor que no lo encontraron en ningún lugar del mundo y muchos me lo han dicho , somos amigables, sociables y eso sí que no tiene precio , es como dije un valor incalculable . El argentino es una persona diferente en ese aspecto pero muy saludable , no en vano en 1969 cuando el hombre llegó a la luna , todos los 20 de Julio , aquí se institucionalizo en Argentina como el DIA DEL AMIGO x ese acontecimiento . Fue un argentino llamado Enrique Febbraro q fue que creo la teoría de que ese gran paso era una demostración de amistad de la humanidad hacia el universo . Escribió miles de cartas a diferentes ciudades en el mundo para que su propuesta tuviera eco y sin esperarlo , recibió más de 700 respuestas que apoyaban su solicitud . El mismo día que los 3 astronautas pisaban la luna , un ARGENTINO patentaba esa fecha como el DIA INTERNACIONAL DEL AMIGO , el día para compartir un trago, una comida , una charla , un abrazo , un beso y un mismo sentimiento de amistad en todo el mundo que nos une en momentos únicos. Conocían está hermosa historia , es veridica . Les mando un abrazo grande y así somos los argentinos, podemos tener mil defectos pero nos sobran más virtudes. .

Thank you very much for this very nice video! I'm an Argentinian "expat" living in Brazil [which is another beautiful country to visit] for almost 15 years and I come back/visit as much as I can. Apart from having old friends and family there, I try and travel around the country. Although I have toured around some twenty times already, I may have seen only some 15% of Argentina throughout my life, and I can tell you it is just breathtaking. Truly, I keep watching videos like this and others (tip: watch a few recent "cinematic style" videos of the various regions and ecosystems) and I get emotional. On a different note, not to make this too long, thank you very much for taking the time to narrate the video just fine -clear diction and avoiding the TikToker hurried style. Plus, your pronunciation of Spanish terms in general, and Buenos Aires in particular, is heartwarming. Keep up the good work and enjoy your trips!

La Federación Argentina de Polo se creó en 1921 y en 1924 Argentina ganó la primera medalla de oro en su historia derrotando a una de las dos potencias mundiales en la final, EEUU. Pero en aquella época Argentina no presentó ningún jugador con 10 goles de HÁNDICAP y hoy tiene 8 de los 9 jugadores de 10 goles de HÁNDICAP, por lo que podría formar 2 equipos de puntaje ideal y por lo tanto es IMBATIBLE. Por esa razón dejó de ser disciplina olímpica ya que en realidad no tiene rivales.

Weird that you didn't go to Puerto Madero, that's usually PACKED with tourists. There's some cool architecture aswell, Puerto Madero is like a mini US city, a lot of the buildings there look a lot like your typical big american city, so actually if you're looking to visit someplace that's very different to your home then, that may not be the perfect place to go lol. I think Palermo, Recoleta and Nuñez are the best districts/barrios you should visit. If you're feeling particularly brave Caballito is nice to visit but, a bit more risky compared to places like the three i just mentioned. Really i think you should only avoid the southmost part of the city except for La Boca. NEVER go to places like Constitucion or Nueva Pompeya , unless you absolutely need to take the train to someplace far into the Province (outside the main Ciudad De Buenos Aires and into the Buenos Aires Province), since the three biggest train stations/public transportation hubs are in Constitucion, Retiro and Once. I also suggest avoiding going out to eat to the typical tourist hot destinations because, us Argentinians get kinda smart and figure, since you're a tourist, you wont mind paying a 400% overprice compared to what a local would pay for the same Service/Product. Local Supermarkets are your best buddy when visiting Argentina, since when you do the conversion, and this is very important, NEVER use the Google/Official exchange rate, that rate is impossible to obtain basically for us and means nothing and usually is used to rip off tourists, since you can get literally DOUBLE the amount of pesos per dollar if you buy "Blue Dollar" exchange rate, that is like 490 pesos per dollar average today. When using that exchange rate, you can really save a lot of money since in USD you are paying pennies for everything. For example, a liter of milk would cost you only 0.8 USD and a very nice dinner outside for 2 people something like 20 USD. To get the most out of your US dollars this way you should only buy your pesos in Florida Street, where there lie the people know as "Arbolitos" who will sell you for the Blue Exchange Rate. So yeah i think that most of what you need to know if you're planning to visit Buenos Aires

@@IdahoVoyager We will be waiting for you with open arms. There are still so many landscapes to visit, for example, Santa Fe, Rosario, Mendoza, Las sierras de Córdoba and the northwest. That incredible place that has centuries-old cathedrals, mountains and a colonial past. Don't forget Patagonia and Mesopotamia. Patagonia is our maritime coast and Mesopotamia our fluvial coast. You can find treasures like the Iguazú Falls in Misiones, the Iberá estuaries in Corrientes next to the chamamé and obviously the carnivals (this celebration in February and can be contrasted with the same celebration, but in Jujuy).

Esto evidentemente hace que ningún jugador argentino esté interesado en jugar el mundial, porque primero no puede y el que puede hacerlo se considera con justa razón una especie de competidor de segunda categoría lo cual desprestigia todo el torneo. El único evento en que esto ocurre es en el POLO porque antes el básquet olímpico también era amateur, con jugadores universitarios norteamericanos hasta que permitieron jugar a los de la NBA y el Dream Team que justamente perdieron por única vez contra Argentina en semifinales y después Argentina ganó la medalla de Oro olímpica. En rugby los All Black ganan por 100 goles, lo mismo EEUU en básquet y a nadie se le ocurre que tendrían que hacerlo más "competitivo" obligando a las potencias a jugar con suplentes, es como obligar a Djokovic a jugar con una mamo atada y así y todo ganaría algún torneo. De hecho a Djokovic le ataron las manos en Australia con la vacuna y volvió y ganó, ahora sigue prohibido y con las manos atadas en los EEUU de Joe Biden.
En Argentina se puso de moda "El que no salta es un inglés" después de la guerra de Malvinas pero el original es de la final del mundial 78 contra Holanda: "El que no salta es un holandés". Lo digo porque el Polo argentino como el fútbol y boxeo fueron creados por inmigrantes ingleses y en 1924 Argentina ganó la primera medalla de Oro olímpica gracias a la primera participación del Polo argentino. En 1921 se crea la Federación Argentina de Polo y en 1924 Argentina participa en las olimpiadas de París junto a Reino Unido, EEUU, España y Francia, el gran candidato era Gran Bretaña pero sus 2 jugadores más importantes de 10 goles de HÁNDICAP jugaban y vivían en Argentina, Luis Lacey, nacido en Canadá y Jhonny Traill, Irlanda, ambos pusieron como condición jugar para el Reino Unido en París salvo cuando jugaran contra Argentina, fueron los 2 primeros jugadores de 10 goles de HÁNDICAP argentinos ya que lo consiguieron jugando en Argentina. Los británicos decidieron no convocarlos y hacer un equipo formado con oficiales de caballería. Antes de esta determinación, Juan Nelson, el capitán argentino, estaba convencido del triunfo británico en Paris. Frente a ese cambio, los estadounideses pasaron a ser el gran rival. ARGENTINA le ganó la final a EEUU en 1924 6 a 5 con un equipo de 25 goles de HÁNDICAP solo superado por EEUU con 26 goles de HÁNDICAP. En las olimpiadas de Berlín 1936 Argentina venció al Reino Unido 11 a 0 con una selección de 27 goles de HÁNDICAP y a partir de entonces nunca más el Polo fue disciplina olímpica porque literalmente no tiene rivales y con la excusa de que no existen otras ligas competitivas. La realidad es que la hegemonía Argentina hoy es superior a la de 1924/1936 porque ahora Argentina tiene 8 de los 9 jugadores de 10 goles de HÁNDICAP y puede formar 2 equipos con puntaje ideal sumado a tener los mejores caballos de Polo del mundo. Y todo gracias a la influencia inglesa, todas las familias que integraban los equipos de Polo en el comienzo eran inglesas, como lo demuestra el ejemplo de los 2 jugadores británicos que no quisieron jugar contra Argentina porque vivían y jugaban en Argentina, lo mismo ocurre con el máximo orgullo argentino, el fútbol, que fue un juego de INGLESES HASTA 1930 en que se volvió profesional.

Bueno, en el Campeonato Mundial de Polo Femenino realizado recientemente (que gano Argentina), se puede observar que algunos equipos nacionales tenian polistas argentinas, si no me confundo, Inglaterra era uno de ellos.

I am surprised that, being so historic, remote, exotic and beneficial for tourists in every way, it does not have more tourism than other great cities in the world, such as Paris, London, Rome, Madrid, Barcelona, New York, etc. (which coincidentally is a combination of all of those and more)

El argentino es una persona diferente en ese aspecto pero muy saludable , no en vano en 1969 cuando el hombre llegó a la luna , todos los 20 de Julio , aquí se institucionalizo en Argentina como el DIA DEL AMIGO x ese acontecimiento . Fue un argentino llamado Enrique Febbraro q fue que creo la teoría de que ese gran paso era una demostración de amistad de la humanidad hacia el universo . Escribió miles de cartas a diferentes ciudades en el mundo para que su propuesta tuviera eco y sin esperarlo , recibió más de 700 respuestas que apoyaban su solicitud . El mismo día que los 3 astronautas pisaban la luna , un ARGENTINO patentaba esa fecha como el DIA INTERNACIONAL DEL AMIGO , el día para compartir un trago, una comida , una charla , un abrazo , un beso y un mismo sentimiento de amistad en todo el mundo que nos une en momentos únicos. Conocían está hermosa historia , es veridica . Les mando un abrazo grande y así somos los argentinos, podemos tener mil defectos pero nos sobran más virtudes. .

Thank you very much for this very nice video! I'm an Argentinian "expat" living in Brazil [which is another beautiful country to visit] for almost 15 years and I come back/visit as much as I can. Apart from having old friends and family there, I try and travel around the country. Although I have toured around some twenty times already, I may have seen only some 15% of Argentina throughout my life, and I can tell you it is just breathtaking. Truly, I keep watching videos like this and others (tip: watch a few recent "cinematic style" videos of the various regions and ecosystems) and I get emotional.
On a different note, not to make this too long, thank you very much for taking the time to narrate the video just fine -clear diction and avoiding the TikToker hurried style. Plus, your pronunciation of Spanish terms in general, and Buenos Aires in particular, is heartwarming. Keep up the good work and enjoy your trips!

Weird that you didn't go to Puerto Madero, that's usually PACKED with tourists. There's some cool architecture aswell, Puerto Madero is like a mini US city, a lot of the buildings there look a lot like your typical big american city, so actually if you're looking to visit someplace that's very different to your home then, that may not be the perfect place to go lol. I think Palermo, Recoleta and Nuñez are the best districts/barrios you should visit. If you're feeling particularly brave Caballito is nice to visit but, a bit more risky compared to places like the three i just mentioned. Really i think you should only avoid the southmost part of the city except for La Boca. NEVER go to places like Constitucion or Nueva Pompeya , unless you absolutely need to take the train to someplace far into the Province (outside the main Ciudad De Buenos Aires and into the Buenos Aires Province), since the three biggest train stations/public transportation hubs are in Constitucion, Retiro and Once. I also suggest avoiding going out to eat to the typical tourist hot destinations because, us Argentinians get kinda smart and figure, since you're a tourist, you wont mind paying a 400% overprice compared to what a local would pay for the same Service/Product. Local Supermarkets are your best buddy when visiting Argentina, since when you do the conversion, and this is very important, NEVER use the Google/Official exchange rate, that rate is impossible to obtain basically for us and means nothing and usually is used to rip off tourists, since you can get literally DOUBLE the amount of pesos per dollar if you buy "Blue Dollar" exchange rate, that is like 490 pesos per dollar average today. When using that exchange rate, you can really save a lot of money since in USD you are paying pennies for everything. For example, a liter of milk would cost you only 0.8 USD and a very nice dinner outside for 2 people something like 20 USD. To get the most out of your US dollars this way you should only buy your pesos in Florida Street, where there lie the people know as "Arbolitos" who will sell you for the Blue Exchange Rate. So yeah i think that most of what you need to know if you're planning to visit Buenos Aires

That incredible place that has centuries-old cathedrals, mountains and a colonial past. Don't forget Patagonia and Mesopotamia. Patagonia is our maritime coast and Mesopotamia our fluvial coast. You can find treasures like the Iguazú Falls in Misiones, the Iberá estuaries in Corrientes next to the chamamé and obviously the carnivals (this celebration in February and can be contrasted with the same celebration, but in Jujuy).

El único evento en que esto ocurre es en el POLO porque antes el básquet olímpico también era amateur, con jugadores universitarios norteamericanos hasta que permitieron jugar a los de la NBA y el Dream Team que justamente perdieron por única vez contra Argentina en semifinales y después Argentina ganó la medalla de Oro olímpica.
En rugby los All Black ganan por 100 goles, lo mismo EEUU en básquet y a nadie se le ocurre que tendrían que hacerlo más "competitivo" obligando a las potencias a jugar con suplentes, es como obligar a Djokovic a jugar con una mamo atada y así y todo ganaría algún torneo.
De hecho a Djokovic le ataron las manos en Australia con la vacuna y volvió y ganó, ahora sigue prohibido y con las manos atadas en los EEUU de Joe Biden.

En Argentina se puso de moda "El que no salta es un inglés" después de la guerra de Malvinas pero el original es de la final del mundial 78 contra Holanda: "El que no salta es un holandés".
Lo digo porque el Polo argentino como el fútbol y boxeo fueron creados por inmigrantes ingleses y en 1924 Argentina ganó la primera medalla de Oro olímpica gracias a la primera participación del Polo argentino.
En 1921 se crea la Federación Argentina de Polo y en 1924 Argentina participa en las olimpiadas de París junto a Reino Unido, EEUU, España y Francia, el gran candidato era Gran Bretaña pero sus 2 jugadores más importantes de 10 goles de HÁNDICAP jugaban y vivían en Argentina, Luis Lacey, nacido en Canadá y Jhonny Traill, Irlanda, ambos pusieron como condición jugar para el Reino Unido en París salvo cuando jugaran contra Argentina, fueron los 2 primeros jugadores de 10 goles de HÁNDICAP argentinos ya que lo consiguieron jugando en Argentina.
Los británicos decidieron no convocarlos y hacer un equipo formado con oficiales de caballería. Antes de esta determinación, Juan Nelson, el capitán argentino, estaba convencido del triunfo británico en Paris. Frente a ese cambio, los estadounideses pasaron a ser el gran rival.
ARGENTINA le ganó la final a EEUU en 1924 6 a 5 con un equipo de 25 goles de HÁNDICAP solo superado por EEUU con 26 goles de HÁNDICAP.
En las olimpiadas de Berlín 1936 Argentina venció al Reino Unido 11 a 0 con una selección de 27 goles de HÁNDICAP y a partir de entonces nunca más el Polo fue disciplina olímpica porque literalmente no tiene rivales y con la excusa de que no existen otras ligas competitivas.
La realidad es que la hegemonía Argentina hoy es superior a la de 1924/1936 porque ahora Argentina tiene 8 de los 9 jugadores de 10 goles de HÁNDICAP y puede formar 2 equipos con puntaje ideal sumado a tener los mejores caballos de Polo del mundo.
Y todo gracias a la influencia inglesa, todas las familias que integraban los equipos de Polo en el comienzo eran inglesas, como lo demuestra el ejemplo de los 2 jugadores británicos que no quisieron jugar contra Argentina porque vivían y jugaban en Argentina, lo mismo ocurre con el máximo orgullo argentino, el fútbol, que fue un juego de INGLESES HASTA 1930 en que se volvió profesional.

Bueno, en el Campeonato Mundial de Polo Femenino realizado recientemente (que gano Argentina), se puede observar que algunos equipos nacionales tenian polistas argentinas, si no me confundo, Inglaterra era uno de ellos.
@@mharg6408 Todos los otros países tienen polistas argentinos, hombres y/o mujeres, desde hace un siglo como ya mencioné en las olimpiadas de 1924 en que los 2 mejores jugadores INGLESES con 10 goles de HÁNDICAP jugaban en Argentina y por eso se negaron a jugar contra Argentina y el Reino Unido se negó a convocarlos y Argentina ganó su primer Medalla de oro olímpica en la historia.

There are frightening areas in US (Tenderloin in San Franciso, for example) and in almost all European cities as well. It is a common thing in the big cities.
