Great idea, but I won't add the mica because it's just for coloring. It doesn't do anything for your lips. Read on what it really is used for. You have to be careful of the powder if you breathe the dust. People are curious about what it smells like.
Do we need to add preservatives?? How long will they last
How long does the face scrub last with the preservative? I'd love to make some for my nieces for a Christmas gift.
With a preservative it should last 6 months or longer

I don't have acne, but I get a couple of pimples from products with heavy oils. I should be doing sunscreen, but after various products and many euros later, I gave up. Can I use Phenoxyethanol for cosmetic preservation? I mean for my face scrub as well as to my lip scrub?
I wouldn’t recommend cause phenoxyethanol has been linked to reactions ranging from eczema to severe, life-threatening allergic reactions.
After I use the lip scrub and wash it up can I put petroleum jelly on my lips or not?
Why would u want to do that? It's literally an oil derivative and unhealthy and toxic for you. Why spend the time making an all natural scrub just to use something toxic immediately after?
