I liked the first single that dropped for the new Deicide album. I need to give the rest of the album a listen. Been on a massive Thrash Metal kick as of late. First 4 Deicide albums are all great with the first 2 Deicide albums being stone cold Death Metal classics imo.
Man, I remember hearing the first Deicide at 13. I thought the same thing, couldn't believe what I was hearing, the epitome of evil music . Lol They could never top the first four albums but this is 8/10 for me.
I dig BANISHED BY SIN quite a bit. And I loved Overtures of Blasphemy. Seems to me DEICIDE have hit something of a " second wind". There are people who like all of them, more power to them. Bands that dont stray to far from who and what they are my favorites. AC/DC. IRON MAIDEN SLAYER DEICIDE CANNIBAL CORPSE. I can buy new releases from these bands and be fairly certain its going to be good, people that get pissed that it " all sounds the same" are kind of missing the point.
Great Review! I enjoyed the album and need to brush up on their discography, In general they don't have enough "mountains and valleys" to keep me engaged for a whole album but they definitely rule for that style. And the tones sound very good, I was glad to hear they recorded everything old school with real amps and microphones
I love the album. It's like a more intricate version of INSINERATEHYMN. Taylor Nordberg is a fine addition to the band. Getting Josh Wilbur was crucial to the massive sound... LAMB OF GOD anybody?
I like it a lot as well. Ive seen some reviews doggin it out, oh well, different takes and all that. I even bought a copy on cassette so if I ever get and old( er) truck up and running I can jam out some badass Deicide.
@@KaaiHawaiianDeathMetal I have been playing it a lot at work as well. I am a 3rd shift janitor in the athletics department at Dartmouth college ( oooh, howdy toidy, lol). Rockin Deicide and my favotite new release of 2024, COFFINS Sinister Oath. Holy shit, that albums good. A cross between the MELVINS and early CANNIBAL CORPSE. Diggin it full on.
@@KaaiHawaiianDeathMetal its real simple shit, for the most part, but sometimes I'm into that. Like a healthy dose of dirty punk thrown in with some growlin. Right on Brother!
Im sorry but i cant overlook the AI thing plus them trying even to justified it. Their first album is great (and i understand their importance to the scene back in the day) but now im bored by their new songs. I guess its taste.
Wtf? This Deicide record is so boring. They could have literally written it in the studio in about an hour while they recorder. I don't know if you people are just talking bs or what?
Haha what’s boring about it? The great songwriting?… the killer guitar tones?… multiple solos on every track?…Steve killing it behind the kit?…that Glen’s vocals are off the charts and sounds as good as ever? You’re just coming off as a hater! 🤘🏻
@realmsofmetal75 what killer songwriting? If they said they didn't have any material and wrote the entire thing in the studio in a couple of hours, I would not be shocked. I guess that makes me a "hater" whatever that means. I still listen to Legion and a couple of other records of theirs I enjoy, but this one in terrible. Anyone who likes it to me is just a clueless fanboy like that Jadwog guy.
@Steve-bh4fe maybe. It is clearly not a great or well thought out record. It seems to have lots of filler and several copy and paste riffs from their previous incarnations. I will go ahead and say that they did not spend a whole lot of time writing, editing, and such. All in all, if this was not a Deicide record, none of you would even pay much attention to it. Jadwog wouldn't be reviewing it. He would be making another silly video about posers or something else, and this record would just be another OSDM release with little fanfare.
This CD won’t be leaving my car for awhile. Great album!
It’s a beast of a record! 🤘
Killer! Best death metal album of 2024! I’m saying it now, IT WILL NOT BE TOPPED THIS YEAR! 10/10, I can’t stop listening to it!
Glen Benton approves this comment hahaha!!! 🤘🤘
Heard them live here in Denmark many years ago. Fuggin awesome show my brother
mental struggle is VERY real but i stay on this planet because there might be a new Deicide any year now and 2024 is a year a new Deicide came out!
Records like this definitely keep me going for sure! 🤘
The Dawg is a huge fanatical of Deicide. He says that if you don't like Deicide then you don't like death metal.
Haha love it!!! I can’t disagree with him!
I agree with pretty much everything you said. Not a great record but a very good one! Best review of this record I've watched!🤘🔥
Let me tell you a couple of 3 things. Album is solid AF, best album in 20 years. Classic death metal.
F’n A brother! 🤘
I agree with you, this album kicks ass. Exactly what I wanted from a new Deicide album.
🤘🤘
Great review, definitely one of my favorite Death metal bands for sure. There still Brutal and Killing it after all these years!!
Thanks Arthur!!!
Great review! You're definitely keeping the scene alive with positivity that's what the scene needs... ❤
Thank you! Can't wait to catch you live again! ❤🤘
@@realmsofmetal75 Thanks! looking forward too!

We’re definitely on the same page here macabre19🤘
I think it's a killer record. There is some strong playing on it I think.
You and J Dawg gushing over this record! I agree with both of you, strong release.
It’s a strong record and I like it a lot! But I gave it an 8/10, hardly gushing brother! It’s definitely a special band for me though🤘🏻
