I just got these! Wow! I'm very happy with my purchase, the sound and features are unbelievable, worth every penny. It's great to finally have a company that really cares about sound and their product, and doesn't use shortcuts.
@user-li5ls3rv7d- Lol, are you serious? As a hifi enthusiast, audio is paramount for me, not where the buttons are located or if they power off by themselves after a while of non-usage. I like the fact that I didn't have to press and hold the button, but just push the on button and the headphones are powered on effortlessly. To me, that is a mature and traditional audio experience. No app and all those clisches to mess with the turning on process.
@@ChadAlexander-g9b If you have activated ANC, they will stay on for 8 hours. This is ideal when flying long distances and you want to zone out without any music. We as well forget to turn them off occasionally, but luckily the battery lasts for quite a while.
The IO-12s are a sonic triumph. Unmatched clarity, dimensionality, color, and impact. Surprising that other headphone designers have not been able to achieve what you've achieved. Your driver-first approach, and notion that headphones should be conceptualized in ways similar to loudspeakers, seems obvious and sensible. Yet the IO-12s are singularly excellent, not just compared to other Bluetooth/noise cancelling headphones, but compared to all headphones. (And I've owned many of the best.) Bravo on an amazing achievement.
Got mine and love them..they sound beautiful in bluetooth mode and even better wired to a dac, you described them at the Munich show in October and i was hooked. Your bullet points about the Dali io12’s are spot on, everything works. I have the Levinson No:5909 and Focal Bathys but these reign supreme 😃👍
How do they compare to the Bathys? Please give us more details. Im set on getting the Bathys but these might just make me rethink that so I want to know if the doubled price is justified.
@@Henry14arsenal2007 no the price in comparison is not justified. The Bathys are a steal at £699 if that’s what you pay and they have great treble and bass and are crisp which i love, they sound centralised in your head as do the Levinson 5909, another great pair of headphones. The IO 12 are a bit more smooth sounding but their instrument separation is fantastic which gives them an airy sound which is wonderful to listen too…but if i were you, Bathys all the way because the IO 12 are not £300 better, but they are better 👍

@@stephenwest673 I have a good friend at a hi-fi store in Germany. He told me the same: Focal Bathys, especially below 650 EUR is a major GO, however if you're looking for the very best audio quality then go for the IO12. For this however bear in mind that you take a major hit on ease of useless. The IO12 is huge and is very heavy (over 370 Gramm), it´s designed to be used it at home.
@@dalispeakers hey dali. Loving the headset, audio quality is excellent! Great work! But the clamp/presure between my ears are to strong, I can hear my heartbeat because it’s too tight. My head is too big and I’m worried if I push it too much I might break the headband, any ideas? Also the voice saying “bass” and “hifi” is of low quality, it cracks and sounds really bad quality wise, like it’s in 2kbps. “Connected” sounds fine.
Thanks for the video. I have a question. A week ago I bought these headphones through Amazon and I'm thrilled with them, but my concern is the lack of information about the warranty. Before I keep them, could you tell me what the warranty is on these amazing and very expensive headphones, please? How safe am I with them in case defects appear in a few months or a couple of years? Thank you in advance for your reply.
Hello, Typically, warranties fall under the purview of distributors, who handle warranty claims according to their local rules and regulations. Specifically for our IO products, including the IO-12, we offer a special extended 1-year end-user warranty through DALI A/S. However, it's important to note that any warranty claims still need to be processed through a local dealer or distributor. If you have any further questions or require assistance with warranty matters, please don't hesitate to reach out.
@@dalispeakers Thank you, for taking the time to reply. The DALI IO-12 is the end of my search for the most comfortable and best-sounding ANC wireless headphones.
Hello, this is down to personal preference. I would suggest booking a demo at your local DALI dealer to test both headphones and see the difference yourself :)
I have both and the Dali soundstage is hard to define but it is fantastic, the instruments and vocals are separated so well, the Bathys sound great too but slightly blocky in comparison, by that i mean it sounds like one wall of sound 👍
@@dalispeakers can you advise if the battery is or will be user replaceable when it ultimately dies in a few years? Really important to know before spending the $$ on these.
Hello, as it stands now, the headphone stand you see in the video isn't available for end-users due to the demand for the stand. However, this may change shortly depending on the demand for the stand increases. Stay tuned to our socials for all DALI updates so you can stay in the loop.

I love it! Except the ANC, I can hear the sound from the TV while my wife is watching and I am listening to music with ANC on. If the ANC would be better I would call it prefect!
It's a difficult balance. ANC has a huge impact on the sound quality. If we prioritised ANC, they wouldn't be Hi-Fi headphones. In the IO-12, sound had top priority. So, we focused on eliminating the low-end rumbling noise, as you would experience on an aeroplane, a train or in a car.

Of course. The inside of the ear cups measures 50 x 68 mm.
