Don't listen to all the negative people dude. The video may not be perfect, but thanks so much for taking the time to post. It was perfect for me and showed me exactly how to change the filter on my Courier Turbo Diesel - well done. sutto
You should have shown the priming stage before starting. Yo've got to prime the bejezzus out of it until the primer wont budge any more- then you can start it. Otherwise you'll nearly drain your battery trying to get it to start- I found out the hard way. Cheers.
I don't see the point in this vid ,cant see a thing , also wouldn't you clamp the fuel hoses to stop diesel going every where,Unless you like the smell of diesel ,
Well if you want to do it the long way, use this video, however you do not need to unbolt the Filter housing AT ALL... The removal tool fits where it is, also just take off the inlet pipe... TBH you can change the filter in 4 minutes! So with all the hassle you just cost yourself an extra 10 mins to change that filter.
He even cleaned the Mass Air Flow Unit (MAF) . A catch cup or cut down Milk bottle (3L) would catch the Diesel instead of wasting it, commentary helps, and checking the camera is in the right place is a bonus... still for a solo effort I got the Idea.
Just changed mine. Bled the air out and primed the pump. It started for a second then died and now won't start. (Started with what little fuel was still in the rail)
Why did you drop all that fuel in your cars engine bay and on the ground all you needed was a small container , a part from that thank you for the video.

Why would you empty the filter into the engine bay? there must be an alternative method (isn't there?)
Thanks for posting this. I'm not mechanically inept but never got around to doing this so this vid clears everything up for me.
Good job. Can you confirm whether this engine would fit into a Japanese made 2003 Nissan urvan.

Thanks for the video but after changing the filter my car wouldn’t start. Any sugestions?
You'll probably have to reset it on a scan tool. Modern cars would have to be reset.

can you check for me where the cable at the bottom connects to someone cut mine off
Great Video, Wonderful commentary. Pity it was the other one ...
Can somebody help please, im pumping as he is showing but no diesel is coming out.
7 years later are you still pumping it?
I used a filter remover, you can see it at the start of the video.
Guys please don't do it like this undo the drain valve and have a container like an old coke bottle underneath to catch the fuel.
Nice work mate

Lmao you just empty all the diesel all over the engine?? HAHHAH
you made hard work out of a simple job !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great commentary very useful 🙄
I wish all cars where this easy
I think by the sounds of that engine the next thing you'll need to replace is your fuel injectors 🤔
u cant see a thing
dont take the fuel houses off. you'll only need to pump about 10 times and less work
Cheers mate
Can't see what you're doing, would have been excellent otherwise
