Not sure if this counts as a mystery school, but i grew up LDS (Latter day saint, also known as Mormon), and we have many traditions that even i have never seen nor heard, because they are considered Sacred, and to be kept behind closed doors until you have progressed enough and gone through certain rituals to be considered "ready". Since it is so Hush-Hush, i would argue that it is one, especially since we have our own form of Magick that we call "Priesthood Power" that is basically used to give blessings, speak with the divine, and generally work things for others. It is considered a power that is tto be strictly used to help others, as a charity, or in certain church rituals to bless things. But yeah, wicca reminds me of it a lot, and I'd consider the beliefs very similar, outside of a sparce few things.
secrecy in and of itself is not just part of the traditions it has been ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY for the survival of the traditions and the very life of most witches...Blessed be fam
Very thorough and well-articulated, as usual. Bravo! Egypt continues to reveal its complex mysteries more and more. There is so much under the Sphynx yet to be explored and deciphered and even mysteries remaining above ground on the Giza plain. The pyramids are definitely not just tombs. Fascinating stuff.
first I want to say awesome beanie! second I am so glad you talk about these subjects, as one who practices Chaos Magic I love to learn all that I can.
Well I think it's good to be part of a community or some other place like a spiritual church ..where you can be yourself ..and learn from other people make friends discuss stuff ....I mean I dont think you would be completely naked on a freezing cold night ..regarding being sky clad.....so yes I can appreciate why they would wait until you have a proper understanding..
I've been through the LDS temple several times. My understanding is that many of the rituals and practices are similar if not identical to Masonic ceremonies. People are suspicious of what they do not understand. They feel "put out" by the secrecy. But let me tell you, you must be committed lest the practices be cheapened and thereby lessened in value. Even the Christian scriptures talk about casting pearls to the swine, which simply means giving that which is precious to a recipient who will not appreciate it, much less understand the value.
@@jaylink1234 not at all. I do not practice Freemasonry; however, there is an overlap with LDS traditions. I no longer attend LDS services but am grateful to those people for expanding my consciousness in preparation for things I'm studying now.
As a very introverted and socially anxious solitary witch I just wonder if there's a coven out there for me. I love the idea of unity and learning from others but I feel I'd be scared to practice in front of others or that I'd feel pressured to be more social. Any advice on this?😔
As always a great video. You outdid yourself on this one. That's a hell of a lot of research my friend. Thank you so very much for all the time you spend for all of us.✌️❤️🪘
Hello mannun. Great video and topic. I wanted to throw out a talking point I noticed you have not spoken about in detail in previous videos. Gender roles within traditional witchcraft. Is there truly a balance between priest and priestess or is gardnerian matriarchal. Not to go into too much detail but I was once initiated into gardnerian over ten years ago( never got farther than first degree even after 4 years). One of the conflicting issues I had was noticing that the authority of the high priestesses always outweighed that of the high priest. I remember one evening when my high priestess had a fresh batch of dedicants, male and female, that she said “ we as gardnerians believe in the balance of both genders”. At a later time in private, I was having a discourse with my HPS about certain topics and she then said “You have to understand, this is ultimately a WOMENS circle”.I have even questioned another coven mate that came on board later how he feels about the “balance”. To which he responded “it’s not balanced, it’s a 60/40 split” Unfortunately I cannot go into details. I have left that path and now practice happily solitary. ( also unfortunately everyone of the dedicants saw fit to leave) I am a gay male and my interest in the sacred feminine is limited. I personally seek to understand my relation to the sacred masculine more, but that’s my own journey. I feel this is worth discussing, not to polarize or antagonize one gender over another. But this was a major issue for me in my time in gardnerian. And I want there to be clarity on this matter so that any prospecting male dedicants who wish to join a “traditional” coven know exactly what they are stepping into. All are welcome, however there are rules in place that make gardnerian feel subversively feminist. At least from my own experience. Cheers
How do you make contact or search out what mystery schools are in the area ? I live in Colorado. I am certain there are . I have no idea how to make contact ? I moved there as an adult. Huh 🤔
i find that a lot of pagans and witches' look down a lot on other pagan and mystery beliefs but at the same time hate it when the Christian faiths do the same to them.
I don't believe in teaching pagan practices and making money off of it.... It's against my Gardnerian Religious beliefs. I have no idea what lessons would go for.

Hi Thomas, I've watched a good video on covens by a utuber called Hearthwitch. She thinks it's a red flag if a coven is charging exorbitant fees. The most u should have to pay is for any tools/items used in a working and maybe the hire of a room, if no private space is available. Hope that helps ❤

Complains about Elitism and snobbery. Yeah, .. well, .. I have no patience to argue with people over the basics of any occult training let alone advance teachings. Also people just don't like being told that just to learn the basics in anything takes about 1 to 3years to start with. Something about the fast-food culture and instant downloads and YT videos giving people an hour video where some act like they know let alone understand everything in a 5hour book read. From what I found over the years coming from people who think they know a thing or two about the occult, they always mis phrase the understanding of " Do as you Wilt." Like some news media sound bite. Needless to say, after ten years all come of sounding pretentious. 2.) I won't even try to explain to you in 3minutes on what you think you know or want to know, when said subject matter takes 3hours for the induction. Following with four months' worth of personal studying. 3.) Nice intro video which can be broke down into five others one-hour long videos. Nice few videos to look up is " Mother of Alchemy," very interesting woman in Egypt during the later phase of the Roman empire. They were just figuring out basic acids you learn in high school chemistry class used for ceramic glazes.

Rosicrucians. They've got a temple in San Jose. I say this as a Reiki master: It was very nearly forgotten because it was kept secret.
I am seriously considering this group
Then why do the Catholics always say that there are some Catholic practices that are included in Rosicrucitionism ?
My reaction to your tradition is HOWDY DO YOUNGEN😊 Blessings
Going deep into how traditions have evolved over time. Being big into history, it’s always interesting hearing more about that
