You know, there are some things I just don't expect from Honda - a carburetor that falls apart is one of them. That said, a touch of gasket goop or grease would do the same as super glue. The only other thing I have seen worse from Honda is on some of their older Civics. The oil filter is between the firewall and the back of the engine and directly over the exhaust manifold. So, off to find some gasket goop.
@@MowerMike it’s just temporary to hold stuff in place then when you replace, you put your regular bolts back on. Some people use 3/16” wood dowels to keep stuff in place too. Just work arounds to make it less of a PITA.
most use 6M 100MM rods with or w/o thread help hold things in place until your ready to install. At least that's what I found on another video & I will attempt 2 change my own carburetor 2moro. Thnx 4 your video too bcuz they all help. 😁
Well : I followed your advice. Got the same part number. Put new carburetor with gaskets I used little tip of regular grease to hold the gaskets on the choke. Replace the spark plug And air filter. Start right up . Sounds and feels with more power on it . Blessing and greetings Señor from North Texas. Psalm 23 . Muchas gracias 🙏 21 bucks for the kit .
It probably has an air leak. Try spraying carb cleaner around the intake and see if it changes. When it is reving too high it is sucking in air from somewhere. May just need to tighten down the carb bolts. Good luck
Thank you, thank you! I took out the long screws, it all dropped down and could not figure how it went back together! You are a lifesaver!!
Haha I wouldn’t go that far but you are welcome. Now get to mowin!
same here!!
That’s why I’m here!

Haha no I get way excited working on mowers for some reason. Is the simple things
@@MowerMike that's great.
Mike, was there no need for carburetor adjustments after the install? Just ordered the new carb and wondering if it will be set right outta the box...
Nah it worked right off.

Gasket goop? Be careful gas eats most goops. Needs to be a carb specific gasket. Never worked on a Honda car am a Chevy or MiniCooper type of guy

2. Blood sport took place in Hong Kong
3. Ramen noodles originated from China
True but Chuck Norris is part Japanese and loves the Ramen. ???!!
the gasket is so you can hold on to it during assy. 😮
As you take a bolt out replace it with a headless bolt to keep everything in place (from another vid).
Headless bolt???? Doesn’t sound like much of a bolt

I don't buy that it started on the first pull.
Good eye. Yep this was the second starting shoot. The first shoot took about 3 pulls to get the fuel in the new carb.
Great video as always!
