I still think the guys in Moosebutter should have been way more credited in the video so people actually will know that this moron is just lipsyncing and not singing at all. It is not enough just to credit them in the description, so many people don't bother reading it and think it is Corey that has made this all by himself. Annoying.
rapahel ramos Dr Smith is one of the band directors at DSU and did the all county band. Him and his friends were moosebutter and wrote this song in college. It was so cool to meet him
14 years later, and every time I catch a snippet of the Indiana Jones theme on tv somewhere, I immediately have "Kiss a wookie, kick a droid" stuck in my head for the rest of the day.
Here I am again! STILL watching this wonderful video! It continues to make me smile and giggle a whole lot! STILL MY FAVORITE TH-cam VIDEO! Corey, I hope you are still making people laugh and smile! Keep on lip syncing! 😊🤩🥰
The songs in order are (I think) 1: close encounters of the first kind 2: Indiana Jones 3: Superman 4: ET: The Extraterrestrial 5: Jaws 6: Jurassic Park 7: Indiana Jones (revise)
Alex Lowenstein Yeah, actually he is. The song was performed by Moosebutter, Corey lip-synced to make this video, and the rest is history. In fact, Corey has talked about the whole story in other videos.
giggi4455 No, it's not like you might think. Corey asked permission. Moosebutter was okay with the video (they even helped Corey learn the parts so he could lip-sync them). Corey *did* have some legal troubles after the video came out initially (mostly with Moosebutter's record label), but that was sorted out over the course of a few months after the video went live. The whole thing is explained across several different videos on both the ApprenticeA (main) and ApprenticeEh (vlog) channels. Basically, this is all old news. PS: Yes, he *did* give credit. Several times.
giggi4455 I disagree. If anything, Moosebutter would have gotten more business from this video. It's basically free advertising. And that's reinforced by Corey constantly saying stuff like "I didn't make this music; Moosebutter did. This is just me being a Star Wars fan." Now, is it bad to take credit for someone else's work? Yes. But if the original creator gives permission to do a video like this and it goes viral like this one did, there *will* be people who seek out the original creator's work. That means more exposure and more sales. TH-cam may have paid Corey for advertising on the video, but in no way is that any less money for Moosebutter. Don't think about it like "stealing business." Think about it like "free advertising." Fan enthusiasm is probably the *best* form of viral marketing out there.
No matter how many times I watch this video, it just gets better and better! I love it! One of my favorite TH-cam videos EVER! Thanks, Corey....and Moosebutter......AND John "Is The Man" Williams! :-)
Coming back here after almost 14 years :D Packing ice into the refrigerator and I think of "nobody cares if you upset a droid" randomly... then "staaation for power converteeeers" and the funny seal like cry..... I had to come back here. Such a classic. We were always singing it with my brothers :D Great work Corey and Moosebutter, you created something that will never leave us.
Thankyou for introducing my son into the world of john Williams. He loves the movies but never appreciated how amazing he was until you did this. You are awesome.
I was here during the 100k views still after all these years, he amazes me how much work he had with this, to be comical and musical at the same time, its a masterpiece!
July 27th 2021, currently crying of nostalgia from the first time my cousin showed me this, i believe back in 2009... I remember every single word and wookie noise, I can't wait to hang out with my cousin again soon, so we can relive this together!
I first listened to this when I was 16... 12 years on and I still hear this every time I listen to any of these themes. Gosh darn it, moosebutter. Just kidding, I love it. John Williams is STILL the man.
Solo? As in the movie Solo? Or the character Solo? Cause the only thing remotely dope about the movie might've been what the screenwriters were smoking when making the script.
May the 4th led me to forgotten memories. These pieces of art are the ones that show what Leopardi called as social chain. Williams was indeed the man ;)
His score for that movie appears to be a celebration of his past scores. Not just for Star Wars, but for other movies like Indiana Jones, Jaws, Jurassic Park, and Harry Potter.
just heard about this on cbc radio the current (Jan 27 '17) Been missing out all this time! Pretty cool interview :) www.cbc.ca/radio/thecurrent/the-current-for-january-27-2017-1.3953609/youtube-launched-a-new-generation-of-creators-now-what-1.3953627
I’m so happy I could find this video again after almost 15 years. This was probably the first video I watched on TH-cam as a child. Thank you for the wonderful memories :)
And like Obi-Wan, he will be more powerful than the Dark Side can ever imagine. Well, he already is, IMO. He's inspired so many people with his works. The Force is most definitely strong with him
2024 and John Williams is still the man. The oldest ever to be nominated for an oscar beating the record set by himself.
Always and forever
Still
And second in nominations only to Walt Disney
Yes👍👍👍👍
I literally can't listen to any of these songs without internally hearing these lyrics. It has been over 11 years!
Neither can I 😄
Everytime I hear the star wars or Indiana Jones theme, I'm always singing these lyrics. People look at me like my brain just broke 😜
Just finished watching Jurassic park... And I had to watch this video...this is sick!
Same, especially the superman one 😂
Dude I’ve been doing the same thing sense elementary school, now I’m starting my third year in college. It’s way to catchy
Same here, it's like the wires in my brain get crossed because I'll be thinking "I KNOW this isn't Star Wars music", but in my mind it still is.
14 years ago I got this stuck in my head and it hasn't left.
I've had this stuck in my head for the last 12 years.
Yeah same. Honestly, came here to try and get it out 😂
Same. I honestly think I'll be humming this for my entire life
Kiss the wookieeeeee...
Same ! 😅

My man I just thought of this video had to watch it again
March 2020: Yep, still the man

April, 2020: "The Man", he remains!

@@ExplosiveYoda your response made me look at what we are talking about, and it still stands as you stated.
January 2021: still holds up. Still one of the classic TH-cam memes of all time.
It got stuck in my head randomly yesterday. Now I can't stop listening to it.
I cant hear the ET theme without hearing Luke complaining about power converters
@@treestumpisland5586 that’s… why I’m here
I come back at least once a year and watch again, good stuff

It is not enough just to credit them in the description, so many people don't bother reading it and think it is Corey that has made this all by himself. Annoying.
I'll forever be in debt to my best friend from high school sending me this video back in 2008. It has never left me.
Reporting from the distant future of 2020. The world is collapsing, chaos is everywhere, California is still burning. John Williams is still the man.
Lol nice job
oh, boy, you would'nt like 2022!
Haha, we were so innocent back in 2020. GLORY TO UKRAINE
Damn man you wish you saw what gas prices were like in 2 years
@@SESProphetofSteel Luckily for us, John Williams is still The Man.
January 2024: I still have this song entirely memorized. Such a good medley

John Williams will always be the man.
Always.
+Jonathan Hughes indeed! (although i must say the new movie themes don't rock too much ;)
+Jonathan Hughes sadly John Williams didnt approve Star wars Force awakens, but all round HE IS AWESOME
yep!
It’s May 2022 and I still occasionally find myself singing parts of this song, especially if I’ve recently watched Raiders of the Lost Ark.
Today John Williams turns 90. And this one, in my opinion, is still the best video ever uploaded on TH-cam.
Yesterday I was at comiccon and the Geekapella concert did this song! I sang along and everyone was staring at me like "how do you know this song"
+Zucchini Zoe haha
+ZoLexa haha! great story!
I know how that is

I come back here every time a new Star Wars comes out. You'll see me back here in December!
The Last Jedi is looking pretty great so far. See you guys when it comes out!
12 years have passed... But every now and then I still like to come here and enjoy this masterpiece! Corey Vidal is the man! :-D
He's lip-synching. The actual vocals and music are being played by a group called Moosebutter.
14 years later, and every time I catch a snippet of the Indiana Jones theme on tv somewhere, I immediately have "Kiss a wookie, kick a droid" stuck in my head for the rest of the day.
Watched this one too many times in middle school and it has resided in my brain ever since
Here on Star Wars Day 2022. Thank you for this excellent tribute to a great franchise!
Whenever I hear any of these songs now, all I can think of is this video.
I watched Jaws and I couldn't stop thinking about this XD

Thankyou for introducing my son into the world of john Williams. He loves the movies but never appreciated how amazing he was until you did this. You are awesome.
The irony being that the theme you left out was Star Wars. Still this was amazing.
Thank you, Captain Obvious.
You're welcome Lieutenant Over Reactor :)
Just curious... how was that over reacting?
They didn't put a SW theme because the lyrics are only about it.

comeing from May 4th, 2024; STILL HERE AND STILL THE BEST MAY THE 4TH SONG 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥
2022 this was the first youtube video I ever watched. Came back and still sick!
This song has been stuck in my head for 14 years. Incredible
May the fourth be with you guys!! 🎉
Just a remainder, this guy waited to be viral before adding in the description that it wasn't him singing acapella.
Just a reminder, he got permission from the guys who recorded it *before* he posted it, according to them at least
Jace Fairis
Just a remainder, HE DIDN'T TELL THE AUDIENCE ABOUT IT UNTIL HE GOT VIRAL.
It's not a matter of copyright (Which I was aware of anyway).
And, GuitarWolesale,
What have you published of note?
*****
1.-What does that have to do with what that guy did?
2.-If I was a super viral youtube, what's the relevance anyway?
just a reminder: it is spelled reminder not REMAINDER
Quase 10 anos de vídeo e eu ainda amo!!!
Just told a group of folks about this today. They had not seen it. This never gets old and makes me smile every time
my favourite part is the jurassic park theme. greetings from Germany ;)
RooMoritz PS: I'm a fat, black, gay Nazi.
I was about to say "Erste Klasse" but then I saw your reply bruh moment
May 2019- John williams is the man and we finally got episode 7 and then some stuff that we shouldn’t talk about (solo was dope)
Solo? As in the movie Solo? Or the character Solo? Cause the only thing remotely dope about the movie might've been what the screenwriters were smoking when making the script.
Here to remind myself just what a legend John Williams is, in lieu of him being hospitalized earlier today.
Get well soon, my man. :(
I'm back 14years later to leave another comment saying how much i love this. John Williams ROCKS!!!!!
So! Are we going to get a new version of this for the new movie? please say yes!
+hockeynut4ever11 i hope so xD
Pleeeeeeease *^* that would be awesome
+hockeynut4ever11 new movie sucks.
Ask Moosebutter not Corey...
+Sanja Maksimovic it really doesn't
one of the first youtube videos i saw.. i sometimes come back to see where i started
My gf asked who John Williams was so i showed her this in 2023
May the 4th led me to forgotten memories. These pieces of art are the ones that show what Leopardi called as social chain. Williams was indeed the man ;)
After 13 years i'm still singing these lyrics :D
Who's watching this in 2016?!? Hehe, this video always entertains.

Happy Star Wars Day!!!
This has been my favorite song since I was 10….. true piece of art. This will never get old.
John Williams, God of music.
I cannot believe this was 11 years ago.
2k19 and he still is the man
I love how this video format is square. That’s how old this is. Love it.
I feel an updated version is needed. With the whole confirmation of a new trilogy.
All this time and I never realized this video was lip-synced until today...I am not smart
+Boomer Roberts Only a few parts of it were (NOBODY can sound like Chewbacca!)
+Shreya Chaudhry Actually, it was entirely lip-synced.. Go check out the description. And by the way sounding like Chewbaca is fairly easy.
+Thomas Lheureux o.0 Wow, he's good at lip syncing! And ha, I suppose some people can
Actually someone from my school sounded just like chewbacca so it is possible xD
but not exact
After seen episode IX, John Williams is still the man
Especially with his cameo
His score for that movie appears to be a celebration of his past scores. Not just for Star Wars, but for other movies like Indiana Jones, Jaws, Jurassic Park, and Harry Potter.
I still remember when I first saw this. It still kicks assss!!!! I LIVE THIS
