THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE VIDEO!!!! My phone works perfect now, just replaced the screen. You are the best :-) Only problem I ran into is I accidentally punctured the battery during removal and had to get a new battery.
This video is awesome. I watched it and successfully repair my phone in about a hour and a half. The only problem I had was that the LCD that I bought did not pre-connect the touch screen sensor. Basically what I am saying is, there is one connection that needs to be made on the LCD before connecting it to the circuitry of the phone. You may find that connection at the base of the LCD. The info could be useful for anyone that runs into this problem. Overall, the video was great!
Thank you for the great tutorial! Can I ask what is the purpose of those red and grey rubber things (I didn't quite catch the word you used, I'm not native English speaker). First time ever I did this kind of a project, and thanks to this video, saved a lot of money and learned new things, and most importantly: My phone is like brand-new again! However, one problem has occurred now. The screen does not answer to touch right away, when I turn the phone on. I can live with this problem of course but I was wondering where the cause of this problem is, is it in the new screen itself or have I connected something wrong?
I just wish phone repairs can finish repairing this phone in less than 4 hours or something, I've heard some waits for months just to get this phone fixed. I wanna do it myself but I don't have faith in my hands and I don't have the right equipment
It is possible that you need to make a connection on the LCD, as I had the same problem. The connection is found at the base of the LCD. This information is probably not useful anymore, but it is probably useful to someone in the upcoming future who may have this problem.
@@devonypowell5261 very good of you to reply to this question... i also have an issue: when I put phone with new battery i installed... i got battery icon flash on screen, then Huawie logo, followed by vibration. then a repeat of the last two. any idea what i might have done wrong? something obvious? I put the old battery back in and experienced the same.
You'll need to replace the rear case as this houses the camera lens for your rear camera. You can locate these here www.fixez.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=honor+5x

Is it necessary to take the whole phone apart for the screen repair?
Thank you for the great tutorial!

It's possible that the digitizer was damaged in installation.
