Think 50s beatniks, 60s George Carlin and Lenny Bruce, Captain Beef- heart, Frank Zappa, grunge, and more. They blew the doors off of everything conventional about America at that time. All of you free thinkers and Avant-garde artists owe them a debt for resetting all the goalposts..
They were the first true punk band apart from maybe The Bobby Fuller Four who wrote the original version of "I fought the law"...strange how Bobby Fuller died in suspicious circumstances🤔

He sent me his latest book, "Teach Yourself Fucking" with an added sheet with the lyrics to, "The Inauguration Song." It was originally "The Age of Uranus" to be sung to the tune of "Age of Aquarius." Apparently he wrote it before the 2000 election. The lyrics are typed, originally "When the Stools are in the Gingrich House." He marked Gingrich out with blue sharpie on the first verse, replace it with "Bushgore." The second verse was originally typed "When the Pricks are in the Clintrich House." He replaced "Clintrich" with "Gorebush." I'm going to record myself.
That's basically what it feels like to be an alcoholic/addict lol you keep trying and trying, drinking and drinking, and it takes so much just to get rid of the shakes and sickness (usually what used to get you lit will just get you feeling normal), and THEN you have to drink and use even MORE to het a buzz, fighting the boredom, and then more and more to get truly drunk or high, and even then it's not that great; ar best, if you're lucky, you might be able to sleep without constantly moving bc you feel like bugs are on you ( again, if you're alcoholic or a downer guy at least).

STP is Slang for a research psychedelic DOM that came onto the scene in the late 60s early 70s when Acid was starting to be experimented with and people wanted something stronger. Lasts longer than acid

I don't really want to rain on anyone's parade and I don't want to say something as dumb as The Fugs sucked but it's a fact they wouldn't have made it anywhere if it hadn't been at that time. Quite frankly, they were a garage band in the worst sense, any kid would do the same anytime. For some reason, no one remembers The Fugs anymore save for people who take an interest in the history of music and culture. I can see no professionalism whatsoever in The Fugs.
