This song came on my iPod about a week ago and it has not left my brain. I was sure that if I went to TH-cam, I would find someone who had done a cover and I would watch and listen intently. Little did I know that this would be a master class in playing and transcription. And jeeeeez what a complicated song it turned out to be! Fantastic work. Thank you.
I just wanted to add. You may not have noticed a much easier fingering for the Dadd4/C. It's the exact same chord as the Gmaj9/B except the bass note is a C. So you can easily finger it 8-10-7-7-7-x. I found this to be a good adjustment and made it easier to play. Although you already have the hang of that tricky shape. Thanks a lot for the video and great job!
Yes you're absolutely right, your way of playing it is easier... it's the equivalent shape when shifted to lower strings, which means one of the frets falls into an easier position!
@@fabsprout5301 Sorry if I didn't express myself clearly. What I want to say is that I would like that this feeling of beautiful musical aesthetics of this great composer who is Paddy and that you represent so well, could be shared by many more people. Thanks for your share!
Peter Fields Much like some of the great unheard jazz these songs can sail over the General public’s heads. In a backwards way it’s a compliment to paddy that his core audience is musically educated and highly enthusiastic. It’s a bit like a secret club.
man, I would pay good money for all this tabbed down so I would not have to keep pausing the video! excellent work. You kind need to play prefab sprout stuff with conviction as sometimes the chords are a bit beguiling :). excellent work, mate

Top work Steven, a pleasure.
Absolutely love it - as hard a cover as any, but you captured the delicate honesty of this amazing song - bravo
Amazing work Steven...All by ear. This is Herculean...
Thank you very much Steven, I really enjoy your videos and then trying to emulate you and Paddy :)
You've got the chords bang on. well done.
Excellent work and sounding uncannily like Paddy as well, keep them coming 10/10 :-)

You deserve much more views!
Peter Fields I don’t think doing prefab sprout covers of their non-hits is going to get me into social media influencer territory
